How To Take The Stress Away (Kai x Lloyd)

LLOYD P.O.V.~

"Don't worry kid. I'll protect you, no matter what."

I sat in the game room with everybody. I kept thinking about what Kai said to me a while ago, even before I became a teenager from that special tea. I felt my face get hot.

Kai. I had a crush on him for a while now, ever since he saved me from that volcano. I fell for his red eyes, the way they shined. His hair, how he loved it spiked. I just love everything about him.

I finally broke out of my thoughts and noticed that everyone left the game room, except for Kai, who was now sitting next to me. I blushed.

"Finally out of your thoughts Lloyd?" Said Kai, smiling at me.

"U-um y-yea sorry." I stuttered. "W-where are the others?"

"They all went to bed a couple minutes ago." Kai got up and ruffled my hair. I blushed more. "You should got to bed too Lloyd. You need your rest."

"I-i will."

"Alright." Said Kai as he walked to the doorway. Kai turned his head and held onto the side of the doorway.

"Goodnight Lloyd."

"G-goodnight Kai." Kai smiled at me and walked into the hall. I closed my eyes and listened, as I hear his footsteps thump softly onto the floor, the creaking sound of the floor following close behind. A few more seconds passed and I didn't hear the footsteps anymore. I open my eyes. I stand up and walk to my room. When I get to my room, I plop down onto my bed, not caring that I have my ninja suit on. Sometimes we do that.

Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

(Time skip)

LLOYD P.O.V.~

I open my eyes and turn my head to look out the window. It was still dark out. I sat up and looked at my clock. It was only 3 o'clock. I laid down and tried going back to sleep again but it didn't work. I got up and decided to walk through the house.

When I was walking through the hallway, I noticed that Kai's door was open. We usually keep our door shut. The bouncing of light from a candle illuminated the hallway. I walked up to his door and noticed that he wasn't in his room.

"Kai!" I whispered. No one answered, just silence. I walked into the living room.

"Kai!" I whispered again. Loud enough for him to hear me, but not wake anyone.

"Kai! Where a-" I looked out the window. Kai was sitting on the deck in his ninja suit. I could see his hair blowing in the wind.

I quietly walk out the the deck, Kai never noticing me. I walk up next to him and see that his eyes are closed. His face is relaxed, feeling the wind rush by him.

"Kai?" I quietly whispered. Kai opened his eyes, turned his head towards me, and smiled. I started to blush.

"Hello Lloyd."

"What are you doing up?"

"Couldn't sleep. You?"

"Couldn't sleep either." I sat down to the left of Kai.

"What are you doing out here?" I ask.

"I usually come out here when I can't sleep." Kai started. Kai closed his eyes again. "It helps take the stress away. It also calms me and helps me clear my mind to relax."

"That sounds very nice." I blush. "I-I hope I'm n-not bothering you."

"You're not." Kai answered. "Try it."

"O-okay." I said. I closed my eyes and relaxed. I let the wind softly hit my face. I did calm me a lot. I emptied my mind and I felt even more relaxed. I inhaled, exhaling right after. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. After a bit, I felt hands. I open my eyes to see Kai holding my face. I began to get butterflies in my stomach.

"Kai. W-what are you doi-" Before I could finish my sentence, Kai pressed his lips to mine. I blushed a crimson red. I gave into the kiss. Kai's lips were soft. I wrapped my arms around his neck and we deepened the kiss. After a couple more seconds, we parted. We looked at each other. I was still blushing, so was Kai.

"Thanks for staying out here with me Lloyd." Said Kai. "You also help take the stress away."

"T-thank you." I said, blushing more. "You take the stress away too."

Kai then kissed my forehead and then kissed me on the lips. I kissed back and smiled.

'Maybe we should get stressed out more often.' I thought. We kissed all night long.
