NEW STORY!!

Hey guys, I decided to write a new story. It's called ICE. Yes, it is about werewolves and Mates, but it is very different than this one. Please check it out.

Here’s the prologue and don’t be afraid to tell me what you think!:)

Prologue

“Now, flick your wrist like this and let go of the knife”

“Like this, mommy?” asked the little girl, her silver eyes full of hope.

“Hmm…that’s good for now, but you have to keep practicing”

“Okay, mommy” the little girl said, her voice showing the pain of not being good enough.

One year ago, the little girl’s family was  happy. They all loved each other very much and a great home. They had the perfect life! When Cordelia  found put she was pregnant with her second child, they celebrated. Their loving family was going to get bigger.

Then, it all changed.  When Cordelia was 6 months pregnant, her husband, Stephen, died. He had gone to visit a friend in Russia when he was in a car accident. He didn’t even make it to the hospital.

That’s when Cordelia changed. She went from a loving, caring mother to an angry, scared woman.  She became paranoid and hardly left her children out of her sight. A week after giving birth to a healthy baby boy, she began to train her seven year old daughter.

She began with basic hand-to-hand combat then progressed from there.  Every Monday and Wednesday she taught her how to fight and defend herself. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, she taught her how to use different weapons. She wanted her daughter to learn how to use guns, knives, a katana, and any other weapon she could think of. She wanted her daughter to be prepared for when they came.

She knew they were coming. She just didn’t expect for it to be so soon. She knew her husband’s death wasn’t an accident. When she went to identify his body, she saw the tell-tale sign of a syringe on his neck. The small hole was unnoticeable to the public eye, but not to her. She was different. She knew the signs of a quick, painless death. Her husband, unfortunately, had been a victim of her past. She should’ve  known she wouldn’t be able to escape them, but she had been in love. Now, not only was her husband dead, but her children were in danger.  She hated what she was doing to her daughter, but she had no choice.  Being a cold, heartless murderer was better than being dead.

She knew her daughter had inherited her genes for a while now. No ordinary human was as graceful, calculating, and athletic at such a young age. Her hair was a big clue, too. The icy blonde hair was a trait that was a sign of what she would become. Her hair, like her heart, were nothing but ice. How else could a person kill without an ounce of remorse? The only people her kind showed any affection to were family or very good friends. Everyone else was expendable.

She was glad her son hadn’t inherited her genes, though. One deadly member of the family was more than enough.

She had to get as much training done as possible. She knew they were coming ; she could feel it. She also knew what would happen if they found her children. They would kill her young son since he didn’t have the gene. But Rose, they would keep her. They would torture her until she agreed to work for them.

Cordelia didn’t want her children to go through that, and the only solution she could think of was to train Rose. Her young daughter wasn’t as cold as most of her kind, which Cordelia was grateful for.. The fact that she had human DNA should’ve made her weaker, but it didn’t. Instead, it made her less cold and icy yet still very  strong and determined. Cordelia was glad for that. Her daughter wouldn’t be able to blend in if she killed everyone around her.

Cordelia sighed before turning back to her daughter. She couldn’t waste any more time. She had to keep teaching her daughter how to kill.
