Chapter 4

Airi wasn't planning on becoming a prisoner or lunch. Jason, Belinda, Daimon and Kyle heard the commotion going on outside. They rushed outside and saw Airi fighting two of the Ancients off.

"Where is the third Ancient?" Daimon asked, confused as to where the third Ancient had disappeared to.

"Dead." Jason answered looking at the dust and cloak that used to be the third Ancient. The family looked at the pile of dust and robe that used to be the third Ancient.

Belinda gasped and went wide eyed. Daimon caught his wife when she collapsed unconscious from shock. The guys stood and watched in amazement and shock, as Airi defended herself from the two Ancients. They used elemental magic. Airi dodged and attacked, her blade absorbing the attacks the silver that lined the edge of the black blade glowed white from the amount of power it was absorbing. The blade started to hum with power. Jason saw the brilliant light and heard the hum, and started to back up. He dashed back inside and hid behind the couch. Daimon and Kyle picked up on what was going on and followed Jason, Daimon was still carrying Belinda. The brilliant light exploded, turning the remaining two Ancients to dust. Jason stepped out of the house cautiously and saw Airi panting breathlessly. He dashed over to her and supported her. Her legs were trembling violently. Kyle walked out of the house and saw Jason supporting Airi.

"So she really is the girl you fed from." Kyle laughed. Airi grumbled and felt rage bubbling in her.

"So she must be your feeder, oh and maybe your slave." Kyle continued. When he saw the look on Airi's face he smirked.

"What the hell are you smirking at!? Oh, and I still owe you for putting a hole in what I was planning in making my house!" Airi yelled at Kyle.

"That's why you wanted to come here?" Jason asked in horror.

"Yeah, your retarded brother thought it was wise to pick a fight with me so I kicked his sorry ass just like I'm going to do now!" Airi yelled.

She pushed Jason off and took a protective battle stance. Kyle stared at her, surprised that she still had some strength left. Kyle tried manipulating her mind. During her battle with the Ancients, Airi had figured out how to stop Kyle manipulating her. Airi put her arm in front of her and lifted her blade above her. With one downward stroke of her blade she cut her arm. Kyle clutched his arm as he felt Airi's pain. Kyle being able to manipulate ones mind was great and all, but it had one very dangerous disadvantage, if his opponent figured out how to majorly harm him with out physically touching him. This danger was that he was in his opponents mind and if his opponent hurt themselves before he could put them to sleep, he too would feel their pain. Kyle cried out in agony and Airi cringed in pain. She could tolerate this amount of pain. Kyle curled up into a ball and clutched his arm. Daimon came out and saw Kyle curled up in a ball. He rushed over to his son and checked him over.

"What's wrong with you?" Daimon asked harshly after seeing no physical damage.

"My powers... She cut herself while I was in her mind..." Kyle gritted out.

He let out another scream of pain as Airi sliced her blade over her leg. All the vampires eyes glowed red at the smell of her blood. Airi rolled her eyes and pulled out a hand gun. She pointed it to the sky and fired. The sound awoke the vampires from their trance. Airi grabbed Jason's hand and pulled him along. She ran down an ally way with a wall down the end. She let Jason's hand go and bounced up the walls. Airi bounced up to the top floor. Jason followed her up to the top. By the time he reached the top Airi was sitting with her legs over the edge of the side. The wind toyed with her hair, pulling it behind her head. Jason's breath escaped him at her beauty. Jason shook his head and sat down beside her. Airi brought out her phone and dialled in a number Jason hadn't seen before.
