Chapter 2
"Bye" I said as I got out of my mom’s car and walked up to the front door of the school. Last night came flooding to my mind as I walked to my locker. My mom and dad are both stupid mad at me. They won't even let me explain myself. So now I’m on house arrest. No T.V., no cell phone, no computer, no nothing. I wasn't even allowed to go into my room unless I was going to sleep. I could never be left alone. I sighed and opened up my locker getting out my first period book. I was about to close my locker when I heard a voice coming from the side of me.
“Hey I know you! You’re the ninja that scared the shit out of me yesterday.” I looked over to see the same guy from yesterday standing next to me. I looked down at my feet.
“Umm… Hi and yes that was me. I’m really sorry about that. I didn’t mean to give you a heart attack.” I said not looking up. He raised his hand and put it on my chin and raised my head so he could look me in the eyes. His icy blue eyes drew me in. I couldn’t remember where I was anymore.
“Hey my eyes are up her not on the floor. It’s alright I forgive you. By the way can you tell me your name I don’t want to have to keep calling you ninja girl, sounds kind of weird?” He said with a small smile forming on his lips. I blinked twice and tried to shake my head clear.
“I umm…” I forgot my name how the hell did that happen? What the heck did he do to me? What’s my name again? “My name… my name is…Ellyssa…but you can call me Elly.” He held out his hand waiting for me to shake it. I raised my hand and shook his.
“It’s nice to finally know your name Elly. My name is Zero. Yes weird but tell that to my parents” he smiled. He had an amazing smile I could stare at all day. Just then the bell rang. My first four classes went by horrible and slow. It’s all the same no one talks to me or they just all give me dirty looks. What I would give to slap them all. I walked outside and sat by the usual tree I sat at to eat my lunch. People would walk past me and look at me quickly then start laughing at me. I usually ignore them but it’s still very annoying. I took out a bag of chips and started to eat them. Zero walked up to me and sat down in front of me.
“Hi best friend! Why are you all by yourself? You could’ve came and got me. We could’ve been hanging out together.” I couldn’t help but smile at what he said. I popped another chip into my mouth and looked around. A lot of people were staring at Zero as if he was crazy. I dropped my gaze down to grass and ate quietly. “You don’t talk much do you” I shook my head no. “Okay well ill change that!” he said confidently. I laughed. I looked up to see Amber and her two minions walk toward where Zero and I were sitting. Zero must’ve noticed my face expressions “what’s wrong?” he asked. I looked away from Amber. I just shook my head.
“Hi” Amber said in a sweet voice to Zero. He didn’t even look at her he just kept his eyes on me.
“Hello” he replied to her, but still looking at me worried.
“Why are you sitting here?” Amber asked.
“Well if you must know, I am sitting here with my best friend Elly- Bear.” I couldn’t stop myself from blushing at his words.
“Well if I were you I wouldn’t be friends with that thing.”
“Well then I guess you’re lucky you’re not me then?” he glared at her before turning back to me and smiling.
“Well im just trying to warn you, she’s not a good friend to keep. She’s a backstabbing little bitch, that can’t keep her legs closed. You should just watch yourself she might try to pin a baby on you.” Amber said. Zero grabbed his stuff and stood up and turned to Amber
