When it All Comes Down

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

    “Elly? Elly, is that you?” A male voice called out to me. Whenever I want to be alone someone always finds me. “Oh my gosh it is you! Whoa, what happened to your leg?” I looked up to see a guy standing in front of me. He had dirty blonde hair and green eyes, he was tall and had a nose ring. Adam…? What he hell is he doing here?

    Adam was a senior at our school last year at our school. All the girls had a thing for him and it wasn’t hard to see why, he was nice to everyone and helped anyone who needed it. He was at the top of his class and was an awesome guitar player. Even though all the girls liked him, he only gave his true attention to a select few girls each year. I was one of the lucky ones to get his attention, but unlike most girls I had his attention for the three years he was there with me. First as friends then as time went on, as something more. I remember that Amber was obsessed with him when we wear freshmen.

    “As you can see my leg is broken, this isn‘t the new fashion trend that is going around.” I said, pointing out the obvious.

    “I can see that. What I meant was what did you do?”

    “Nothing, I didn’t do anything, someone attacked me.”

    “Do you know who did it?”

    Yes! “No.”

    “Wow, man that sucks.” He looked at me with sad eyes.

    “Yeah it does but, what can I do, ya know?”

    “Right, quick questions. Firstly, can I have a hug? Secondly, why aren’t you in school?”

    “Well I didn’t want to go to school today, it’s my first day back since the attack.” I said as I tried to get up. Adam noticed what I was trying to do and helped me up. Once I was up he pulled me into a smothering hug.

    “I’m sorry angel. God, I wish I was still in school with you but, I am so happy that I am finally free!” He let go of me slowly. “Do you wanna go do something, since you don’t want to go back to school.”

    “Uh, sure, but where?”

    “It’s a surprise.” He sang.

    “You know I can’t do much since I have a broken leg and all.”

    “I know.” He said walking over to his yellow Charger with black racing stripes. He opened the car door for me and took my crutches and put them in the back of his car. He then helped me into the passenger seat and      closed the door behind me. Adam walked around to the driver side and got in. “You ready to go, Angel?” He said looking over to me, starting the car. I nodded my head in one swift motion and we were off. Destination: unknown.

***Point of view shift***

~~~Zero’s P.O.V.~~~

    I looked over to the clock. Only five more minutes until the end of school. I haven’t seen Elly since this morning, I was starting to get worried. We have lunch 4th, 5th, and 6th together and I haven’t seen her. Where the hell could she be? Wherever she is I hope that she’s alright.

    The bell finally rang. I grabbed my folder and rushed out of the room quickly and headed straight to her locker. She wasn’t there when I arrived so I decided to wait for her to arrive. Slowly but surely the hallways started to empty. Still she was a no show. I took out my cell phone and decided to text her.

    ‘Hey Elly where are you?’ I sent her. I waited for five minutes until I texted her again.

    ‘Ellyssa, I’m seriously getting worried about you know.’  Still no reply. I dialed her number and waited…
