Chapter 16
I woke up in the morning to the sun hitting my face, it was warm here, I didn’t want to leave this warmness. Arms wrapped around my torso, and everything from last night came flooding back to me. Oh gear God.
“Good morning, beautiful.” Adam breathed into my ear.
“Morning.” I blushed, looking over my shoulder I glanced at the clock on my night stand. It read that it was 11:30am. Holy shit! I’m going to be late. I pushed Adam away from me and jumped out of bed. I heard a thud, so I looked behind me to see Adam laying on the cold floor. I didn’t have time to laugh at his face expression. I threw open my closet and grabbed the first things my hands touched and put them on.
“What’s wrong, Angel? Your running around like a bunny on crack.” Adam asked curiously. Ignoring his question I finished getting dressed. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me over to my bed.
“I’m going to be late.” I got off the bed once again and shoved his clothes at him. “Get dressed.” Adam looked at me warily, then he took his clothes and got dressed.
“What are you going to be late for?” he asked fully dressed.
“My dad’s trial, can you take me to the court house please?” I asked him.
“Of course.” he smiled.
“Thank you.” I hugged him briefly before letting him go.
“Your welcome, Angel.” grabbing Adams hand we rushed out the door and into his car. The whole way to the court house I was on pins and needles. Adam had to tie me down just so that I didn’t bounce out of the car. When we arrived to the court house I jumped out of the car into the building.
“Hi, can you tell me where the Marlow case is located?” I asked the lady at the front desk. She looked up at me, giving me a bright smile, which made her face wrinkle up.
“Room 407 dear, and it’s nice to see you again.” Again? What? It took me a second to realize.
“Oh, hi grandma.” I smiled realizing that she was the lady at the front desk and not some random old lady.
“Hi dear, how are you?”
“I’m fine grandma, but I really have to go. I’m running kind of late, but I’ll talk to you some other time.”
“Ok deary.” she nodded understandingly. I took off down the hall with Adam following behind me, but at a much slower pace.
