Chapter 12

***Shifts in P.O.V. be warned***

~*~Zero’s P.O.V.~*~

I was lying in my bed throwing a beanbag ball up in the air, when there was a knock on my door. The unexpected noise startled me, causing me not to catch the ball and it hit me in the eye.

“Fuck me!” I said clutching my eye. “Come in.” I grumbled. My mom walked in to my room.

“Zero, we need to talk.” I sat up on my bed, rubbing my eye, as she walked over to my computer chair and sat on it.

“What about?” I stopped rubbing my eye and eyed my mom cautiously. My mom usually never came into to my room, so it must have been important.

“Well, about the vacation that we’re taking.” she said looking down at her hands.

“What about it?” I said cocking an eyebrow.

“Well, you see, George had to move the time that we’re leaving because the date we had was no good.” she started to pick imaginary lint off her short pink skirt. Sometimes I wished that my mom would dress her age and not like a teenage slut. Ok, don’t get me wrong my I love my mom, and I do not think that she is a slut. She just dresses like on. I’ve tried to ask her not to dress that way but she says that George likes it. I’m pretty sure he would like it if she looked like a teenage girl, he’s such a pedophile sometimes. He thinks I don’t notice the way he looks at Elly when she comes over. That’s why I hate bringing her around my house when he’s here. Maybe I should kick his ass, for being such a creep. No, I can’t do that mom and Elly would be mad at me. I don’t understand how mom says she loves that creep, sometimes I wish that she didn’t get a divorce with my dad. We could still be a happy family but nooooo, they just had to get a divorce. Oh well, no need to dwell on the past.

Hmm, now that I’m thinking about it I wonder how the old mans doing… I will have to take a flight to New York one of these days to see how he’s doing. Maybe I should ask Seth if he wants to go with me, even though I can’t stand being around him most of the time.

“ZERO!” my mom yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Uh…?” I asked confused.

“I thought I lost you for a second there.” she smiled.

“Oh, sorry I just got lost in thought, ya know?” I said scratching the back of my neck, nervously.

“Your just like your father sometimes.” she said smiling down at her hands. She had a sad look in her eyes. That was weird, she never really talks about him anymore.

“Yeah, I suppose. So, um, when are we going? If we are still going that is?” I asked, changing the subject.
