Dreams

   "What's going on?"  Escaped my mouth. "Its okay" the second voice came from a grey Tom sitting near me. "I'm Stonefur, former deputy of RiverClan. I'd like you to know StarClan is not happy with you" his voice was icy but quiet. "Its because I killed bone, huh? I'm sorry, I can barely live with the fact I did it. Please, just forgive me." I plead. "Yes, that too. But we're angry because you have taken the path of a rogue. I'd just like you to know, nothing but true clan will ever please you." he meowed, dipping his head toward me. I stepped back. "What does that mean?" I screech, terror throbbing through me. "What was RiverClan?" Shock overtook me. "Don't worry, all your questions will soon be answered. Have trust in the stars, young warrior, follow them with everything you have if you wish for peace." He began fading. "No! Please Stonefur! No! Don't go! Please! Stonefur please..." I begged, dropping down onto my side, all my strength draining from me at once. 

"Stonefur no!" I cry. My eyes shoot open. "Dodge, help please, I'm so confused." I plead, explaining everything. "I think you've been chosen by StarClan to take on a prophecy" he meowed. "Why? Why me? what have I done to deserve this? Am I being punished?" I whisper to him, eyes fearful and heart heavy. For the first time ever, he was affectionate. He pressed his muzzle into mine and licked me. Surprise flickered in my chest. "I'm sorry, I don't have your answer" he muttered. 'follow the stars' replayed in my mind. I leap to my paws, before howling loud enough to wake the whole world, "WE NEED TO LEAVE TONIGHT" shock was written in Dodges eyes. "Dodge, it's so simple! If StarClan wants me to follow the stars, then they will be visible, if not it will be cloudy" I exclaim. He nodded, "alright, and if we can't?" He asked. " then I have trust they will send me dreams. I have trust in the stars, Dodge! I do!" I yowl, nuzzling Dodge roughly, licking behind his ear. Our eyes locked for a few moments, before I ducked away. 

  "Acepaw, we should do some hunting training, are you up for it?" "Yes!" She yowled. I lead her with a flick of my tail, before a scent hit my nose. I lower my eyebrows, concentrating. An unmistakable, foul, wretched, fierce, savage scent filled my nose, making it wrinkle up quickly. "Run, Acepaw. Get Dodge, Jinx, and Luna, NOW" I hissed. She nodded quickly. I realized abruptly the Fox would find me quickly if I stayed upwind, especially because of the blood scent from my missing ear and other wounds. I move to the bushes, heart pounding. I heard loud paw steps behind me, and whipped around to see Dodge, Jinx, Luna and Acepaw. "Acepaw!" I whisper harshly. "What? I can fight just fine!" She argued. I roll my eyes. "Attack!" I cried out, my powerful muscles rippling under my skin as i flew forward, before launching up onto the creatures back, holding on with teeth and claws. The others ran forward as well. With a huge heave, the Fox threw me off. I flew, before feeling extreme pain as I hit a tree. I lay motionless for moments, before my eyes peeled open to see Acepaw pinned, Dodge and Jinx struggling to help the much smaller cat. I leap to my paws, before my claws reached skin and slit the Fox from neck to muzzle. It Yelped before I jumped back on its  back. It let go of Acepaw in an effort to get to me. I released quickly. Dodge hurled himself at the Fox, and his weight brought it down. It struggled and struggled, before twisting grabbing Jinxs throat. Rage strengthened me as I grip it's throat in my jaws, tearing hard as I could. It released, jumping to its paws. All five of us leaped and held. Acepaw held its throat with claws. It dropped. I realized with a yowl it was dead.

   I pad to the medicine den with Jinx and Acepaw. "Oh no, not again." Aspen mewed. He sat me down and wiped my first leg wound with soaked cobweb, before he took some marigold and goldenrod leaves and chewed them into a pulp, spitting them onto my wound. He then sniffed at my ear. "Infection.." he muttered under his breath. He chewed some dried oak leaf and spat it onto my ear wound. I winced sharply. "Okay, you're good to go." He meowed. "Alright. I just want to see myself first.." I mew. I pad to the pool in the back of the den. I look down and only about a third of my ear remained, and it was shredded to strands. I turn slowly and over to Luna. "Oh my StarClan!" She gasped. "My kits! They're coming!"

  "You were pregnant?" I screech. She nodded. I wrap my tail behind her and walk next to her into the medicine cats den. "Aspen! Kits!" I yowl. He looked up from Jinx, nodding. "Lay down, Luna" he instructed. She did as told, letting out a cry of pain. "Everyone, go! Not you, Redfang. I need you" he meowed. I sit, stunned. "Keep her calm" he yowled over Lunas cries. He padded to her rear. "Alright, Luna. You got this, I know it hurts, Aspen can see the first head." I soothe. "Ugh.. I'm NEVER doing this again!" She screeched. "Thats what they all say.." muttered Aspen. "Push, Luna" he told her. "YOU DONT THINK IM TRYING?" She snapped. "Geez, lady, shoulda given you the death berries" he meowed. "Eat these" he scooted small dark seeds to her mouth. She ate them with a hiss of defiance. She yowled even louder as the first kit came out. "Shut up, cat. Your all done, no more kittles today" Aspen growled. "YOU TRY GIVING BIRTH, SEE IF YOU YOWL" Luna snarled. "I'm only joking calm your tits." He rolled his eyes. 

   "Hey Luna how you doing?" I ask my friend. "Okay, why?" She mewed. "Oh, no reason. Is that a Tom or she-cat?" I ask. "She-cat" she meowed. I look down at the red tabby kit. "I her name is Redkit, after a special someone" she purred, looking up at me. I giggle. "Are you ever going to have kits?" Her question shocked me. I never really thought about that. "Eventually" I mutter. "Have you any idea of a good mate?" I froze up. "Uhh.. I don't know" I meow. "Dodge, huh?" She laughed. I look to my paws. "Yeah" I giggle. "You should talk to him. He's in love with you, Redfang!" She cried out. "No, no. Not him. He just likes me as a friend" I meow. "For crying out loud, are you blind, stupid mouse?" She hissed. "Aparently" I growl jokingly. She shook her head, smiling.
