I hit Bluemoon with such force it sent her bowling across the clearing. I raced over to her and raked her belly hard and quick. She pushed me off and landed neatly on me, scoring my scarred, almost gone, ear. I snarled and rolled on top of her and swiped claws across her muzzle. She snarled and reared up, then slammed down on me. I was brought down, but I fought away. I leaped over her, spun on a hind paw, and scarred her flank. She yelped and faced me, her blue eyes on fire. She hit my shoulder and I staggered, but didn't fall. As she rushed me I leaped to land on her flanks. She hissed and bucked me off. I growled and tackled her, pinning her down, my jaws around her throat and my claws on her chest. "Beatcha" I whispered, muzzle to muzzle. I released her and she gulped a breath, snarling. "Maybe today you did." She warned bowling me over again playfully, hitting my cheek. I threw her off and we pelted home.
"Sparrowpaw, how's your training?" I ask the apprentice. "Great! I know how to take on a cat three times my size!" She meowed proudly. Lowpaw padded over quietly then leapt on her. Sparrowpaw mrrowed and kicked her belly, but it was no use. Lowpaw out skilled, and out weighed her sister. I watched the two tabby she-cats tussle, Lowpaw's light tabby pelt mingling with Sparrowpaw's dark brown tabby coat. With a final heave, Lowpaw was thrown away, I watched as Lowpaw hit her to the dirt again, but Sparrowpaw bounced back up and whacked Lowpaw across the muzzle, and leapt on her shoulders, bringing her down. Lowpaw rolled and Sparrowpaw scampered away, "you won, chill" she grunted, grooming her self. Lowpaw snorted and tore away. "Hi Redfang." Dodge meowed. I turned to see him. "Hi!" I mew. After him came bounding, Morningkit, Cloudkit, Darkkit, and Flamekit. "Mother!" Meowed Morningkit, leaping onto me. I lay on my back while all my kits squirmed around me. They hissed and giggled as they bit and pricked at me. I sat up, and Darkkit started attacking my chest. I bat her aside with a tap and she squeaked in pleasure. "How about you go play with your big brother?" I mew and watch them scamper away and bowl Tallear over in the middle of his and Redwillow's conversation. I turned to Dodge. "Let's go train. StrongClan could attack any day now." I meowed, racing to leave camp and race Dodge out to the woods. I raced through the forest, clearing a log and landing neatly in the training spot.
Dodge waggled his hips, and before he could lunge, I made the first move, launching at him. He yowled as I hit him and forced him down. I reared up and brought my paws down on his barrel. He twisted and slashed my chest and kicked me away hard. I growled and whacked the side of his head, and Dodge grabbed my scruff and launched me down hard. He got on top of me and grasped my throat, but I kicked his stomach, and with an oof he staggered away. I sprang up and raked his ribs, but he was quick. He bolted past me and rammed me down. I tried to spring up, but he pinned me and pretended slashed my throat. "Ugh, I'll never beat you!" I meowed, kicking him away. "Of course you won't" he mocked. I gasped and hit him hard. He hissed and we rushed away into the forest.
I stood from my nest and yawned. I went to go pick something from the fresh kill pile, a thin mouse, I wanted to save the other prey for the Queens. I stalked away to eat it underneath the highrock. I then felt my stomach twist as I realized, three days until the battle. I swallowed the rest of my prey. My paws vanished from under me as I leapt onto the highrock. "All cats old enough to defeat their own enemies, gather beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!" I yowled. My clan scattered out of their dens, clearly surprised by the different call. "It is time for Lowpaw and Sparrowpaw to become warriors. But, because we have no apprentices now, they will continue with their apprentice duties. Lowpaw, step forward." I watched as my niece walked coolly up to me, as I leapt of the highrock. "Lowpaw, do you promise to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?" I ask, calmly gazing into her green eyes. "I do" her voice rattled with excitement. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Lowpaw, from this day forward, you will be known as Lowmoss. StarClan honors your humor and fighting skill, and you are welcomed as a full warrior as BloodClan." I mew, resting my muzzle on her head. She licked my shoulder and backed away as I called her darker sister's name. Sparrowpaw bounced forward and stood in front of me, shaking excitedly. "Sparrowpaw, do you promise to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?" I ask, sure she would say yes. "Of course I do!" She swore. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Sparrowpaw, from this day on, you will be known as Sparrowtail. StarClan honors your bravery and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of BloodClan." I meow, resting my muzzle on her head. She licked my shoulder and backed away to sit by Lowmoss. "Sparrowtail! Lowmoss!" The clan chanted. Bluemoon's eyes glinted with pleasure. Goldfoot trotted up to me. "Redfang, I can't take it anymore" he began, his gaze serious "follow me" he meowed, leading me into the forest.
"Redfang, I have to get this off my chest. I'm in love with you. I have been since the day I laid my eyes on you. I know you love Dodge. I just have to tell you" he meowed. I stared at him. "I-I" my voice was cut off by a quiet hiss, "we're close to camp". I tensed. StrongClan! It was the first wave, only three warriors so far. Me and Goldfoot nodded. We moved slowly, then leaped. I hit the dark tabby Tom and threw him down, and fastened my jaws around his throat. I bit hard as he tore my fur out of my pelt. I released and slit his side. He batted me away and another cat threw me down. Goldfoot tossed the cat aside and we bolted back to camp.
"StrongClan!" We yowled and all the warriors sprung to alertness. "Mistypath is kitting!" Soko screeched. "Great." I scoff. The second wave bursted through camp. There was about ten this time, all big warriors. A cat flattened Bluemoon after she pinned a black she-cat. I bolted and threw the cat aside hard. He smacked the ground and sprung back up and raked my muzzle before I reared and hit him on the ground, and rolled him to Bluemoon to finish off. She cracked his spine and spat out blood, her eyes glistening. I tore away to help Luna, who was pinned by two giant toms, two times her size, and Luna was close to the size of a fox. I pinned the first white tom and raked his spine with my hind claws. Luna thanked me and pinned down the ginger tom. I was tossed to the dirt and he sliced my belly. I choked and scrambled to my paws whacking his muzzle. He hissed and reared, and I slid under him and scored his belly. He growled and batted me sending me sliding in the mud. I rose, shaking my pelt. I snarled and lunged at him throwing him down and sinking jaws into his shoulder, pinning his head down with claws. He lifted a huge paw and slammed it into my chest, raking his claws down. I yowled and bit his leg and shook it. He snarled and leaped up, tearing from my grasp. He grabbed my shoulder and threw me down. I kicked hard at his face and side. He snarled and slid me away, bolting into the woods. I stood and bolted away to find another cat.
