A few weeks later
Madison's POV
With my arms crossed over my chest, I stared at my closet intently, unsure of what to pack for the weekend. My suitcase was on my bed, completely empty. Pajamas were the only items of clothing I didn't have an issue deciding on, and that was because I wasn't going to be in public with them.
"Still having trouble?"
I nodded as Ross strode into the room, coming up behind me to wrap his arms around my waist. "I've never been to a bachelorette party. I have no clue what to wear. Then there's the rehearsal dinner, so I don't know how to dress for that either. I don't want to dress too fancy, but I don't want to look like a slob." I turned in his arms, pouting. "Help."
He chuckled, shaking his head in amusement as he kissed my forehead. "Don't stress too much, Mads. I bet anything you choose to wear will still make you look amazing. And sexy. Can't forget sexy."
"You're such a boy."
He wiggled his eyebrows. "I've noticed."
I slapped his chest, shaking my head. "You're not helping."
He plopped down on my bed with a sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You could go naked and I wouldn't care."
I felt my face heat up, the redness no doubt spreading down my neck and across my ears. His comment had my stomach doing flip flops, my fingers tingling. Why did those simple words have to have such an affect on me? And why was I now picturing him naked, my mind coming up with images of his bare chest, his toned abs, his...friend.
Damn my dirty mind.
I snapped out of my heated thoughts, pressing play on my little journey to find clothes. The bachelorette party was two days before the wedding, so all us girls were going to stay in the hotel where the wedding was being held. I was nervous, since I had only met the bride herself and the two Savannah's, but excited at the same time. I was just relieved that I would be staying in a room with Rydel.
Rocky's bachelor party was the same night as the bachelorette party, but I had absolutely no clue what the boys would be doing. I had a feeling guzzling down booze would be one of the activities.
"You know, this is the first time we're gonna be away from each other since we got together." Ross announced suddenly, reaching over to grab my hand and pull me down onto his lap. I slid an arm around his waist, using my other hand to run my fingers through his hair. "I'm gonna miss you."
"It's only for two days," I told him, though I was going to miss him, too. A lot. "We'll see each other at the rehearsal dinner."
"You'll still be rooming with my sister," he pouted.
"Well, I did hear she was a good cuddle buddy."
He looked at me with mock anger, gripping my waist tight to tickle my sides, forcing me to wiggle in his grip as giggles escaped my mouth. "I'm a better cuddle buddy. Admit it."
I forced myself to stay quiet, but he continued to assault my sides, which resulted me in almost falling onto the floor. Unable to take it anymore, I blurted out the one thing he wanted to hear, sighing in relief when he finally stopped.
I hopped off his lap, wiping the tears from my eyes. "Rydel's better." And with that, I bolted out of the room, laughing as I heard his footsteps behind me.
~*~
Rydel had picked me up later that day, driving the two of us to the hotel where the other girls were already waiting for us. Another round of greetings occurred, and my cheeks hurt so much from smiling. Some of them knew I was Ross' girlfriend- Rydel was quite the blabber mouth- so meeting new people that already knew of me was nerve wracking.
