I sat in the tree house just staring out the window for a few minutes. I sighed to myself and faced my own reality.

“Darian kissed me.” I said flatly. “Darian kissed me.” I whispered. I took a deep breath and freaked out at that moment. “Darian kissed me!” I shouted, “Darian was my first kiss.”

I stared out the window, horrified. As soon as I shouted that, the music shut off. I hardly noticed Slade come up to the tree house and open the door. He sat there smirking at me. “So, Darian kissed you?” He asked sarcastically. I looked at him and he just shook his head with a smile.

“Why?” I asked more to myself.

But Slade mused. “Because he is your boyfriend.”

I turned on him and stared with fire into his eyes. “Shut up!” I screamed. He laughed.

“Calm down, Lynette!” He chuckled. I took a deep breath and started towards the door. “Lynette, hold on.” Slade said. He put his arm in front of me and I reluctantly sat down.

“What is the big deal?” He asked.

I sighed. “Well, he was my first.” I admitted.

Slade faked a gasp. I narrowed my eyes at him. “Lynette, relax. It doesn’t matter when your first kiss was or how late it was.” He said.

I shrugged. “But it was with him.” I said.

He shook his head. “Do you like him?” He asked gently.

          “I don’t know.” I admitted.

“Go think. When you have decided, you can come tell me. Trust me.” He smiled.

I frowned at him. “You’re weird.” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Yes, yes I am.” He said proudly.

I raised my eyebrows. “Do you even have a girlfriend?” I asked.

“Plural, if you please.” He said.

I rolled my eyes and left the tree house. I climbed into my car and just curled up by myself in the driver’s seat. The passenger’s seat opened and Ace came in. “I thought I told you to leave.” I grumbled.

“Well, I overheard the beginning of your conversation with Darian and my curiosity got the better of me.” He looked down, “I saw.” He said quietly. I buried my head in my knees.

“Are you going to tell Keegan?” I asked.

          “I have to.” He said.

I boiled with anger at that point and got out of the car. He came out with me and stood in the driveway. “You always say ‘I have to!’ Why!? Can you not decide something for yourself once in a while? You have no self-confidence and it is disturbing to see such a great society’s junior squad be ruled by you! Can you not see how this will just bring no benefit to anyone! And, why do you like Piper anyway? You and her have NOTHING in common!” I shouted.

He stared at me for a moment, then looked down at his shoes. “I should go.” He said bluntly. I was seething with rage and just as he hovered off the floor, he stopped. “There is somebody in particular you want to talk to…isn’t there.” He said.

I glared at him. “Huey.” I said sarcastically.

He shrugged and flew away.

I went into the house and up to my room. Harumi was in there, reading a magazine. I forgot that she was in there and she seemed startled.
