Morning came too early, as it always does. I woke up with a knot of fear and excitement in my stomach. Mariabella woke me up with a shake on my shoulder. I did all of the normal morning stuff: brushed my teeth, shower, makeup, and got dressed. While I was brushing my hair, the entire Cloister came into the suite. Ace stood in front, while Enide was desperately attempting to silently nudge her way to the front of the group. Huey was lingering in the back, unshaven and his eyelids were half closed. He definitely had a hangover. The rest were standing there patiently.
I noticed that Cassidy had different colored streaks. They were white now. Darian stood looking at his shoes, making a scene of his confusion. Piper looked nervously at him and I glared at her. She didn’t see me. Maria tied a blindfold gently around my head and all went black. I heard Ace’s voice speak.
“We will take you to the Warren, but you cannot know the way.” He said sternly.
I nodded and then heard Enide’s voice butt in anxiously. “We should knock her out just in case.” She said a bit too excited for my liking.
“No.” Ace said sternly.
“Well, we need to.” She protested.
“Just like we NEEDED to kill her, Enide?” Ace snapped back.
“Look, you are the one who broke up with ME!” Enide cried.
“Because of this!” Ace yelled.
“Well we would never have broken up if you had just stuck to the rules.” Enide chided.
“Who’s rules? The Warren’s or yours” Ace retorted. I heard a gasp that I assumed came from Enide.
Ace continued. “Plus, who said I wanted to stay with you?” He shot at her.
“You!” she shouted.
But she was cut off by Huey. “Oi, Shut up!” he shouted, “We have a blindfolded girl in the middle of the room! And I have a mother of a headache so, again, shut up!” He half groaned half yelled the last part.
I heard Rain’s voice after a small bit of silence. “I think we should put her out for her comfort.” He said simply. I stood there awkwardly while I heard whispering. Everything went black after that.
I woke up in the same bed I woke up the first time I was in the Warren. Piper was at my bed this time though. I sat up and just looked at her for a while.
“Hey.” I said.
She laughed. “Hey?” she asked.
I glared at her. “How could you?” I asked her coldly.
She sighed and looked down. “Look, I have played along for a long time. He never got over it and I decided to break away. Trust me; he is a basket-case of lovesickness. I love him as my brother, but he needs to cope with reality once in a while.” She ranted.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I pushed myself up in the bed and stood up. I wobbled for a bit, but got my footing. “How long have I been under?” I asked.
Piper shrugged. “A day, maybe a day and a half.” She guessed.
I nodded and we started out the door. Darian was outside my door with Huey. He looked at me with sad eyes and I looked down. “Are you ok?” He asked.
I nodded my head. “I’m fine. How are you?” I asked.
“I’m fine.” He assured me, he paused but continued, “Are you scared?” he asked.
