Symphony [Shanks x Reader]

You were at the bar with your crush, Shanks, and all his friends, Frankly, you didn't mind his friends, they weren't that bad... It was when they got drunk they started to get annoying and yeah...

You sat next to Shanks at the bar, since he was going through a break-up. You felt bad for him but you were also happy, you didn't mean to be happy but your crush was free, like, come on! Who can't be happy about that?

"Heh, I appreciate you coming out here, [Y/n]" Shanks spoke as he just stared at his beer mug, he kept fiddling with it like he was nervous. What was there to be nervous about? "It's no problem. That's what... Friends are for right?" You asked, it pained you to say 'friends', but you knew he didn't like you that way. "Hey, [Y/n], You think you can sing for me?" Shanks asked again as he looked at you, You froze for a moment. Yeah. Fair enough, you have sung before a few times but it was only in front of shanks, that's all. "Please?" He pleaded, your eyes widened in shock, not once in your life have you heard this man say please for something, yet, now he's basically begging you to sing. You sighed and nodded, you looked around the room and you noticed the Karaoke on the other side of the room. You stood up and walked over before picking up the microphone. You scrolled through the songs before finding the perfect song, You played the song and took a deep breath before you started singing.

You put the microphone down and walked back to Shanks, ignoring the cheers and claps of all the people in the bar. When you sat down next to him again you looked at him, there was a red hue on his face and his usual smirk was Gone and it was replaced with a smile. "What?" You asked as you placed a hand on his forehead, his temperature was normal. "The whole way through singing that song... You just looked at me." Shanks muttered as he looked down at his Beer mug.

I looked at him the whole time?... I thought I closed my eyes and just pictured him staring...

"O-Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to stare" You chuckled nervously and scratched the back of your neck. You ordered some sake and started to drink it when it came.  "Also, Why did you pick that song?" He asked you again looking up from the beer mug, you blushed and looked away. He grabbed your chin and made you look at him, as he asked again: "Why did you pick that song?".

Your blush got worse as you noticed how close he was, "[Y/n]! Come over here please!" One of Shanks friends yelled, you sighed and Shanks growled. You got up and walked over to him, he pulled you down beside him. "What do you want?" You muttered as you looked at him, he chuckled and put his arm around your shoulder. You could feel his breath on your cheek and you moved back only to be pulled closer, again. You whimpered as he squeezed your shoulder harshly.

Next thing you know was that his hand was removed from your shoulder and the he yelled, you looked to your side and saw Shanks, you smiled in relief. Shanks gently pulled you up and put you behind him, he then grabbed his friend by the collar and said something to him which you couldn't really hear, you saw his friend cower in fear as he nodded his head rapidly. Shanks then let him go as he took your hand and walked out the bar with you, You looked at him, you could see the anger and sadness in his eyes. It started to rain heavily, You stopped in your tracks and pulled him to stop him too, he looked at you and you looked at him. You sighed and hugged him tightly, he hesitated for a moment before wrapping his arm around you. You could hear him mutter a faint 'You have no idea what you do to me'.

Now that you think about it, you don't know the reason why him and his ex broke up, he did say that he broke up with her but he didn't say why, he also wasn't sad about it.
"Shanks, what's the reason you broke up with your ex?" You asked.

"[Y/n]" He muttered lowly.

"Shanks, what's the reason, just tell me" You said as you looked up at him. You were both soaking wet by now and Shanks hair was over his face, you pushed his hair behind him and he looked hot as hell.

"[Y/n]" He said again as he placed your hand onto his cheek.

"Shanks, I want the reason, not my name" You sighed.

"I am telling you the reason, [Y/n]. Cause you are the reason, every time I was with her I could only think of you, every time I kissed her..." He paused and looked at your lips before running this thumb over them. "I could only imagine kissing you..." He mumbled the last part which you could barely hear over the loud rain. You smiled and pulled him close, your body's touching as he leaned down, you looked at his lips before he closed the space between you giving you a passionate kiss. He nibbled at your bottom lip and you slightly parted your lips as he slid his tongue in, your tongue now dancing with each other. Your hand went from his cheek to his wet, messy, red hair and your other hand going around his neck. When you parted there was a trail of saliva running from both of your mouths, quickly vanishing because of the rain.

You giggled and quickly kissed him again before running in the direction of your home, he chuckled and started chasing after you.

~Time Skip~

"Shaaaaaaaaanks~!" You yelled from upstairs in your room, your boyfriend Shanks came into your room and leaned against the door frame. "Yes, love?" He asked, you rolled over to look at him. "I want a hug..." You said and pouted as you sniffed. He looked at you concerned before walking over to you, and giving you a hug. "What's wrong, love?" He asked again, you giggled as you pulled him down onto the bed and kissed him. You sat on top of him and gave him butterfly kisses all over his face. You looked at his three scars and kissed them lightly. "Heh, what are you doing sweetheart?" He asked as he pushed you up lightly.

You smirked, "Can't I shower my Precious in kisses?" You retorted as you sat up on him. He chuckled and pulled you closer to him and gave you hugs and kisses. "No, but I can" He responded back. For the rest of the day you both lay there giving each other cuddles and kisses while talking.
