As the large ship came to a full halt at the dock, the sun started to rise, the now orange, yellow and red mixed sky shone over the horizon. The hum of the female as she strolled along the outskirts of the town, her eyes never leaving the ship. It was one of two things, a group of pirates that came to take over, or a group of pirates that are stocking up.
If by dumb luck it was indeed the first option, that wasn't going to stand. Everyone knew this was her town, everyone. The darkest parts of this town, murmurs of her name can be heard. She owned this place with an iron fist, nothing went by without her knowing.
"Leader," the call of her crew merely grasped her attention, "take a rest. You've been up all night. I'll take watch."
Tearing her eyes from the ships ripped shalls, she headed into her base. Humming with approval of his suggestion, only for a little bit. She had planned a day with a few members of her crew and she never once went back in a promise. Her door to the room creaked open, the click of the door shutting behind her filled the room before the silence came back.
Throwing her leather jacket onto an old dusty chair, she partially jumped onto her bed, the springs creaking from rust. Simply letting her eyes shut, she let her barriers down, all the masks she wore and all the fronts she put up. The only time of her life she let down her guard, much like everyone else. Just to sleep, to regain any energy that was lost.
The sun now midway in the sky, it was already evening and Shanks mind was somewhere else. The kitchen had no booze, the storage room had no booze. His mind landed on the next best thing, a bar. As he and a few members of the Red hairs crew walked side by side, his hope slowly ever dissipated as no bar could be seen.
"You mean, we are stuck here, with- without a drop of booze?" Yasoop spoke. The look of horror slowly corrupting his face, and Shanks agreed with it. He wouldn't say they were alcoholics, but the taste of sake was too good to give up. Yeah, sure he would drink it every day, sure he always had a hangover- maybe he did have a problem.
"There's got to be one here somewhere!" Shanks laughed nervously, sure he could last one day without it. They could stock up quickly and head to the next island, but of course, that was too much work. Finding a bar was their top priority; as of now.
As Ben let out a cry of joy, the man ran to a building as fast as he could. "BAR!" Ben shouted, pointing to the sign above him. The small group walked towards the building, completely unaware of the concerned glances they were earning with each step.
As they took their seat at the bar, they were quick to order their sake.
"You're brave for coming here," the bartender scoffed, cleaning the glasses with the rag that was on his shoulders when the cane in. "[Name] doesn't take too kindly to pirates."
Subconsciously, Shanks tilted his head. Who was [Name]? And as if reading the question that was roaming in his mind, the bartender sighed, placed down the glass and faced the group.
"[Name], she's the leader of the gang that runs around here; The Red Serpents." He whispered, despite whispering the atmosphere in the room had changed. Shanks took a look around the room, everyone was avoiding eye contact. Shanks turned to the bartender, narrowing his eyebrows. How dangerous was this woman, really?
