Running my fingers back and forth on the dark oak wood railing, I stared at the ripples in the water. The movement of the ship sailing through the seas, creating new ripples and fading out the old. The loud screams of the birds that would fly by every so often and the laughter from the crew. It was days like this, where you could relax all day. No interruptions, no nothing.

"[Name]-Chan!"

I stand corrected.

Pushing myself off the railing, I turn to face our perverted cook, a half-lidded smile on his face, his hands shoved into his pockets and as usual, a cigarette in his mouth. With a quick movement of his head, he moves any excess hair out of his eyes just for the strands to fall back into place.

"Can you help me with dinner? Please?" Sanji asked, not acting like his usual, over the top, self. His was being sincere. The corner of my lips curling up, I walked past Sanji, looking over my shoulder at him, motioning to follow with the movement of my head.

"Come on. You need help, don't you?" I question, he just rolls his eyes and smirk, following behind. When it comes to cooking, Sanji doesn't joke around. Well, most of the time. "What is it-"

The anger in my captain's eyes completely threw me off guard. His jaws were clenched, his fists curled up in his shirt, pulling and stretching the ends of it.

Sanji places his slender hand on my shoulder, the warmth of it caused me to look up at him. "What's the matter? Need a hero?" Sanji spoke up, a fierce tone to his voice as his eyes scanned the ship, not even noticing our furious Captain. "A hero would be nice. Where would I find one?" I chuckled, watching as his face fell.

"[Name]-Chaaan! You're so mean! Am I not hero material enough?"

"I don't even think you'd qualify as material."

Sanji pushes lightly on my shoulder, shoving me in the direction of the kitchen. Erupting a burst of laughter from me as I looked back at his blank face. "So, what is it we're having tonight, Blondie?" I asked, grabbing one of the aprons and attempting to tie the strands around my waist. Sanji grew impatient as he continuously watched me fail at tying these two strands, which to him, didn't seem so difficult. "You know, you're welcomed to pitch in and help, any time."

"Thought I wasn't hero material?"

"Oh, ha, ha."

With a small chuckle, Sanji took the two strands and tied them in a tight knot around your waist. "Sanji- What are you two doing?" The voice of our captain asked, the already neutral expression on his face turning into a displeased one. His glare skipped by you and went straight to Sanji, one that Sanji was willing enough to give back for no apparent reason. Sanji hated it when Luffy got cheeky with him. Despite it being a knowing rule to not piss off Luffy.

"It's nothing, Captain. He was just helping me tie my apron. Is there something you need?" I asked kindly, offering my captain a sickeningly sweet smile. Luffy simply glanced at me and his expression calmed, his attitude turning to it's usual as he did his usual laugh. "I'm hungry!" he chuckled, holding onto his hat. His attention turned completely to me.

"Of course, you are. Haha, what are you-"

"Luffy, just wait for dinner," Sanji commented, completely cutting me off. Something of which I hate, I send Sanji a simple glare before looking back at Luffy, who was sending Sanji the same thing.
