Adara POV

We were in the living room playing cards, one of the favorites and loudest games we were playing was BS. We say BS, there is no foul language here. Brook, Bella, and I sat on the couch while Sasha and Tiana sat on the ground. There were two couches and two chairs with the tv diagonal from us. The couches were black went there were hard wood floors with light gray carpet on top with a brown table on top. The dining room was to the left our us with a large black table and four chairs on each side. The back door was behind it too with the kitchen to the left of it.

I put my card down and Sasha yells: "BS!" That's like the fifth time, on me!

"See Sasha, this is why your stack is so big," I laughed flipping my card over.

"How many four's do you have?" She shouted while grabbing the stack.

"I can never tell," I said smugly.

"You have the best poker face I have ever seen," Tiana stated.

"Takes years of practice," I smirked.

"I gotta go to the bathroom," Bella spoke after a long pause. Then the lights shut off, and it was pitch black in the house. "Someone come with me,"

"It's only dark, it's not like anything is gonna get you," Tiana joked.

"I'm taking Adara with me," She added and she grabbed my arm.

"I've been taken captive," I said but they watch as she drags me away. My best friends everyone, they just watch. We went to the bathroom and I just stood outside of it. I folded my arms and leaned against the wall since she always takes the longest time to go.

"I can't see anything in here, I can't find the toilet paper,"

"Just look for a bright soft roll of paper,"

"Found it! Oh, wait it's empty. Can you get me another one?"

"Alright, be right back," I said and walked off.

"Never mind, I found it." I rolled my eyes and kept walking. I was tripping over myself in the dark halls. Then Sasha was in the kitchen talking to her dad, I heard his sharp Indian accent as he spoke to her but since he was speaking so quietly I couldn't hear. Then she walked out with a sad face.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I have to go in the basement, wanna come with?" She asked. I had a flash that one of those things jumped on her.

"Yeah! Sure." I stuttered and we walked down stairs. It was pitch black down stairs with no windows. She actually has a lot of stuff down here but I can't see anything. Also, can't remember what everything looks like actually. My hands started heating up and started aching. They were just itching to be on fire but I didn't want to freak Sasha out. My hands started sparking more, then they lit up with blue fire that almost brightened up almost the entire room.

"I am never going to get used to that," she whispered.

"You're telling me, I have no idea on how I got these," I added while eyeing them. They looked just like the sparkly blue from my dream but also familiar as if I have had these before.

"They don't burn things, right?"

"I don't know." I watched her work in the basement for awhile, following her around to make sure nothing bad happened. "So why are we down here anyway?" I asked after awhile.

"I gotta do some laundry, sorry." Then I heard a snarling sound, she seemed unaware after a bit. Yet we turned the corner and saw the bright blue eyes. There was only one pair of eyes for the good part but my reflexes started kicking in and one of my fireballs started to turn into a dagger. Yet Sasha was looking terrified. I waved my hands out and grabbed her. Then threw her up the stairs as the thing grabbed my leg. The door slammed shut and I fell hard on the stairs. It started to pull me back down as I tried kicking it off. Then my reflexes came back. I kicked it off and threw a dagger directly in between its eyes. Wow... I didn't know I could do that. "Adara!" I heard Sasha screaming behind the door.

"I'm ok," I shouted. I opened the door and she hugged me. "I'm still alive, don't worry," I laughed with a smile.

"What was that thing?"

"I don't know but something tells me to call it a void crawler."

"Now that is a scary name." We went to the living room and sat in the light.

"What happened to your leg?!" Bella shouted. I looked at my leg and saw that my pants burned away at my ankle, where that thing grabbed me. It had black marks around it, they felt icy cold. A lot of ice needle pain, sinking into my ankle.

"Something scary." I panted. I thought they were just a bad dream, why are they real... Why are they after me?

Tyler POV

We were almost there but then the tree dimmed down and changed to a darker color. My heart dropped slightly, is it good or bad?

"Did she solve the problem?" I asked.

"I suppose, but why is the color darker?" Midnight asked.

"Maybe because something went wrong." I sighed darkly and we started sprinting. Then we made it to the tree, the fire started going out. I can't leave her alone for too long, I just have the worst feeling something bad will go wrong when I'm not looking. "Where is she?"

"You actually expect her to stay in this tree the entire time?" Then a group of void crawlers jumped out at us. They started hissing as I brought out my staff slowly.

"They probably took her," I growled and we started fighting. I shot three of them with a huge bolt of lightning. It was a light show with all the crawlers just exploding into different colors of dust. Then they were gone, nothing was left. "Well, that was easy," I puffed.

"Look at the tree." She stated staring at the tree. It was barely lighting, the blue fire was extremely dark and small.

"Where is she?"

"She went this way." Midnight reported. We walked all the way out to this house. It was somewhat of a big house, and all the curtains were open but it was too dark to see inside.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive, she's here." I knocked on the door and a small brown girl answered.

"Hi, how are ya?" She chimed.

"I'm looking for Adara," I stammered.

"Oh, my, gosh. You're Tyler!" She shouted.

"Sasha, who is it?" I heard a familiar drowsy voice say. I slightly moved the girl out the way to peek my head in. Focusing my eyes a bit to see many figures. Finding Adara laid out on the floor.
