Learning About What?

Soon I fell asleep reading the book. When my eyes closed, I was at this chapter saying that one of my abilities is flight. Then dreamt I was flying exactly like The Torch from Fantastic Four. It was so awesome flying in the sky with the white clouds, yet I felt nothing. Then it started raining, the rain came harder making my fire flicker to stay on. I started losing altitude and quickly crash landed in the forest. All the void crawlers started moving around me almost ghost like. I couldn't defend myself, my body moved in slow motion as I rolled over. Then I ran but the one with the whip grabbed me and started pulling me into one of the black giant graves in the forest. My body was smoking but I couldn't do anything. Nobody was around to save me. My eyes darted around in panic, I couldn't even find the house. Then a void crawler that looked different. He stood up straight with a sharp grin, almost human like as he stood before me.

"Capturing the most powerful elemental in the world felt too easy." He smirked. I burned hot and my fire melted the whip around me. I jumped away and ran, they all darted after me. They caught up quickly as I struggled not to trip up. Then they all jumped on me, I tried getting up but they kept piling on.

My eyes flew open as I jolted awake. My mind was taking awhile to process what just happened. That was the scariest nightmare I have ever had, void crawlers look scary and disfigured. My eyes shifted to my phone, showing the time briefly before turning off again. I sighed loudly, trying to slow my breath and calm myself. Unbelievable, I only got an hour of sleep last night, wasn't that Saturday night? Checked my phone to see what day it was, don't feel like going to school now. I will be the shyest person there and everyone will be staring. What if my powers start acting up in school? Well, I still have one more day to figure this out. I am so glad it's Sunday. Midnight was laying on top of my head, and she looked worried.

"Bad dream, huh?" She asked.

"Horrible, I don't want to talk about it," I said flipping over.

"Talking will make you feel better,"

"Actually it would make me feel even more scared,"

"It was just a dream,"

"But it felt so real and scary like I was there,"

"What happened?" She wouldn't stop asking so I told her everything. At the end, she looked as confused as I was. However, I showed more fear than confusion. "Who was the crawler who was talking?

"I don't know, I thought I should ask you." I got up and saw that I had scorch marks on my bed. While walking to my door, I tripped over the black book that was faintly smoking again. "Will this book ever stop smoking?" I asked myself as I picked it up. My hands didn't flame up, but they also started smoking. "Copiers," I muttered.

"You are touching something hot, I would be surprised if they weren't smoking," Midnight said standing up.

"I guess I am ready to learn about these fire powers,"

"Really?"

"Well, how else am I suppose to defend myself?"

"Let's get started," she said glumly, "this book is very protective. It knows when he or she with the fire powers is turning evil and the book itself burns them out of existence," Midnight read.

"Well now I have an even bigger reason why I shouldn't be evil,"

"I wonder why they did turn evil? They knew the risk if they did, they all did," Midnight said quietly. Now I never want to be evil, if it would make the people I know sad. It just wouldn't be right first off, but just making the people I know upset is just cruel.
