There were a couple explosions and then a very loud ear busting cheer. As much as I wanted to continue that kiss I let go and looked around.

"Hey you two, turn off the green fireworks. We got work to do." Kris joked. We both stood up and I wobbled a little, I hope I won't have to use the phoenix thing too much. I don't like dying and I don't think I want to. Tyler caught me and helped me stand up straight again. We looked around and saw a lot of people on the ground and no void crawlers in sight.

"Where did the crawlers go?" I asked.

"You guys just freed them all," Cana whispered in awe.

"Well, that's a win." Amethyst cheered. I looked over to where Nightmare was laying and saw him smoking and slowly trying to get up. Amethyst took out a sword and ran at him, I saw a small smirk on his face.

"Amethyst wait!" Kris shouted but she already took a swing at him. He dashed behind her as a black mist and her sword got stuck in the ground. She starts yanking at it but it wasn't moving at all. He took out his dark black sword and sliced her back. I brought out my sword and we all ran at him but he threw us back with a giant black tentacle. He wrapped both of his tentacle arms around her and she started to turn black. I threw a fire ball at his head but he disappeared and she dropped to the ground. Kris ran to her side instantly and flipped her over. She was knocked out, but the blackness stayed on her. It was eerily quiet, everyone stayed on guard looking for him however Kris and Vaneita were still at Amethyst's side.

"Amethyst wake up! Please, wake up!" Kris shouted and started shaking her but she didn't move. Then she opened her eyes, they were completely black. She hit everyone back with a wave of water.

"Do you think this is over? We're just getting started!" She shouted with a mix of Nightmare's voice. Most people back away in shock, I for one actually didn't know what to do.

"Let her go!" Kris roared.

"I can use her to help me destroy your friend here," he said looking at me.

"If you want to get to her you're going to have to get through me," Kris said stepping in front of me. Why does everyone keep standing in between us saying that? It feels like I can't fight my own battles without someone standing in the way. Then they squared off and started circling. "I don't want to fight you, Amethyst," Kris sighed.

"Aww, that's too bad, because I actually wanted to fight you." She laughed with a smile. It was only her voice that time, everyone stared at her in confusion. "I want to show you who is better, that I actually deserve to lead the elemental protectors! You always stand in my way, so when I end your life, my life will be so much easier." Kris's face stayed expressionless, she ignored all those words. Though I can still see it hit her in a soft area.

"You need to fight him," Kris commanded sternly. Amethyst started twitching fiercely.

"I can't- he's too strong. You'll have to- beat him out," she pleaded as her eyes were flickering back to blue.

"Shut up! Let's do this." Nightmare barked and her eyes went back to black. She pulled out two black ice swords and Kris pulled out two whips. I don't want them to fight but I have to figure out something before they hurt each other. Amethyst jumped in the air and brung her two swords down but Kris jumped backward. Then Kris jumped in the air and whipped her in the back.

"Amethyst please, don't make me do this,"

"It seems like you already are, you've never stopped hurting me. You never understand!"

"I am not going to fight you,"

"You don't have a choice!" She ran at her again but she froze.

"What are you doing?" Nightmare shouted.
