Ren was not thankful for another knock at his door. His annoyance flared, feeling sure he would choke the messenger. After his conference with Snoke, no news arrived. The girl had not set a course. Returning to his chamber, he purposely remained fully clothed and slept poorly in the unmade bed that smell of her and their sex. The madness lifted him in and out of sleep. He wanted to toss and turn until he was restored again. Until the shame and grief lifted and he was clear enough to commune with his grandfather. Reluctantly, he dragged himself out of bed to answer the caller.
It was a delivery. Another food basket. His face fell. He had not ordered this and he was not amused. At this moment, he didn't care if he ever ate or drank again. Especially the drinking.
With the door locked behind him, he examined its contents.
Bags of complex carbohydrates. Damn nachos. The type of fare for excessive celebration or depression.
And there was a note. It read:
"Sir,
Please humbly accept our condolences for your untimely divorce. Those of us from the 501st Legion want you to know that you have our support as we continue to serve you and Leader Snoke."
He crumpled the note into pieces. It was no use even going through with the Undercover Boss mission. He knew the ordinary folk were already mocking him from here. They would never respect him again. His temples throbbed with rage as he threw the basket against the wall. Igniting his light saber, he tore his own room apart. The table, the drawers, the bed, it was all destroyed before he could reconsider. Not finished, he cut into the sides of the wall. Striking the blade against the metal, he felt the power, the ease it brought him. It allowed him to calm enough to form a plan. Kylo Ren would have his vengeance on them all. Yes, now he knew what he had to do.
He would find her, whether Snoke willed it or not. And he would kill Skywalker along the way.
Then everyone would know, that Kylo Ren, was as strong as Darth Vader.
