"Well this can't be good", I sighed, I looked behind me and locked eyes with Caleb.
"Hey Finn", Gaten excitedly smiled, Caleb shot him a dirty look which made Gaten's smile fade.
"Wouldn't you rather hang out with us over these losers?", Caleb scoffed as he pointed over towards Sadie and Millie.
"I'd much rather hang out with them over someone who doesn't have any friends", I rolled my eyes and turned back around. Millie and Sadie were looking between Caleb and I, they both looked petrified.
"Well Finn", Caleb places his hands on my shoulders and pushed me into the table, "I hope you enjoy being a loser for the rest of your life."
I could hear them walking away from the table, "well that was fun, my first fight."
"Finn your nose is bleeding", Sadie pointed out, "Millie we should bring him to the nurse."
"No, they'll only scan his wristband and realize its fake", Millie whispered, "besides, it's just a nosebleed."
Sadie walked over to a green table and came back with a handful of paper towels, "here you go", she smiled as she handed them to me.
"Thanks", I took a sheet and held it to my face, "so, think I'll be the schools new bad boy for standing up to Caleb?"
"I hope you're joking", Millie laughed.
"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not", I shrugged my shoulders.
"Guys", Sadie rose from the table and looked ahead, "we need to go, now."
"Oh no", Millie grabbed my hand and pulled out of my seat, "use your legs and run wolfhard."
Millie and Sadie began to run, I followed after them as they pushed through the large green doors to the school.
"Care to explain what that was all about?", I asked just as the doors closed behind me.
Sadie and Millie looked at eachother, "it was the security for sector 2, my sector", Millie breathed out, "I've had some trouble with them in the past, with my living by myself and all."
"Oh I thought they were here for–", I sighed but just as I was about to say 'me', Millie cut me off.
"Nope they were probably just doing a routine sweep", Millie's eyes widened at me as she leaned her head towards Sadie, 'Sadie doesn't know', she urgently mouthed towards me.
"I think they're gone", Sadie breathed against the cold windows, "yeah it's looks safe", she pulled her face away and opened the doors.
"Yeah Finn and I will meet you out there", Millie waved to Sadie as she walked out into the cold.
"What was that about", I asked, "do you think they were here for me?"
"I don't know Finn", Millie pulled her short brown hair through her fingertips and sighed, "just promise me you won't hang out with Caleb, he's bad news."
"Yeah whatever", I brushed her off and walked towards the door, Millie grabbed my shoulder spinning my around to face her.
"Finn, promise me", Millie's voice broke.
"I promise Millie", I sighed rolling my eyes, "is there something you're not telling me about him?"
"No, no there's nothing", she shook her head, "I've told you everything you need to know."
