Streetlights illuminated his surroundings, he stepped over the sidewalk and down to the river, his head eventually slipping out of my sight.
I pressed against the door, letting it slowly click into place. Panic was already starting to set in, my heart raced as I slumped against the cold door.
My chest unevenly rose as tears formed in my eyes, I ruined everything. If I would've told romeo about Finn maybe I could've gotten him to stay and not risk everything because he was mad at me.
As long as he gets back over the bridge everything will be fine, not everything but at least we both won't be in fear of our lives.
Everything will go back to the way it was, before he came into my life only for me to practically push him out the door.
"Hey Millie, where's Finn?"
Sadie smiled running up to me from across the courtyard.
"Oh", I hesitated, "he went back home."
"Really? That was a short visit", she huffed blowing strands of her red hair, "too bad, I was just starting to like him."
"Like him?", I laughed, "why would you like Finn-"
"Where's lover boy, I bet you scared him off again didn't you?", Caleb taunted, blocking sadie and I from reaching the glass doors.
"I don't know what you're talking about", I looked down, red flooding my cheeks, "besides, he went back home."
"Probably to get away from you, I mean who would want to date you", Caleb stepped closer.
"Leave her alone", Noah spoke up", we're gonna be late for class."
I looked up from the ground, Caleb looked me up and down with disgust in his eyes before pushing through gaten and Noah, "whatever."
Gaten followed after almost immediately, Noah wavered in his steps, stopping only a few feet away he turned back to sadie and I.
"Well?", I scoffed, folding my arms across my chest.
"I'm sorry-", he blurted out while looking over his shoulder, "something's gotten into Caleb, he's not usually this mean."
"Whatever", I rolled my eyes, grabbing Sadie's arm I pulled her with me past Noah into the school, the cooling air rushed all around us as the doors closed behind.
"That was weird, he never talks to us, let alone you", sadie stated while smoothing her white shirt down.
"He probably feels guilty or something", I replied, "anyway let's get to homeroom, don't wanna be late again."
Sadie smiled letting out a short laugh, smiling back I held her hand and began to run to homeroom.
Three times today I've tried to talk to Finn, only remembering that he's not here. It's funny how someone you only met a few days ago can become someone you care about, too bad finn thinks I used him.
