"Millie-"

"Shush", she breathed in, placing her finger against my lips, "do you hear that?"

"We need to talk-"

"Oh god", Millie sighed pushing herself off my chest, folding her hair back as she steadied herself, "you need to get up and hide, they're coming."

"Millie!", I yelled throwing my hands to my side, sliding off the edge of the bed as I walked towards her, "what the fuck was that?"

"God dammit Finn we'll talk about it later", she yelled, "right now I need you to hide, and don't come out until I tell you to."

"Millie what's going on?"

"It's the curfew sweepers-I'm not sure", she hesitated, walking backwards along the wall to the front room, "it's not good, you need to hide so they don't find you ok?"

There were so many things I wanted to say, not just about the curfew sweepers but about us. She acted as if nothing had happened between us, almost as if were actually cousins like she keeps telling everyone.

"Fine, but after I need to talk to you", I threw my hands up as I turned back into her room.

"O-ok just don't come out", she stammered, leaning against the wall she continued to drag herself to the front door, "no matter what you hear or say, don't come out."

Why do girls have so much clothes?

I crammed myself as deep as I could into Millie's closet, with those doors that had slits, so you could see through them.

10 minutes passed by, still no Millie...or anything for that matter. The only sound in the room was my frantic heavy breathing, from inside the closet behind heaps of clothes.

What if they caught her? What if she's in the kitchen right now with a gun to her temple, being threatened to tell them where I am or they'll kill her.

More and more horrid situations clouded my thoughts, eventually they became the only thing I could think of.

I gripped my knees against my chest as I pushed myself against the wall, taking in a deep breath I tried to calm my nerves. Millie is fine, she's not in danger and she's not dead.

Why do I care so much about a girl I only met 3 days ago?

I jerked up from the wall, my breathing was fast, I could feel sweat dripping from my hair.

Millie

I waved my hand over the wristband as it displayed the time in a white flash, 11:17. It's been over an hour since millie left, she hasn't sent me a message or come to get me, I haven't even heard a single noise coming from the hallway.

I slowly slid back up the wall, pushing the clothes out of the way I walked up to the door of the closet. Peeking through the slits of the door I saw nothing, everything was just as we left it.

My head fell against the door with a soft thud, I let out a shaky breath as I became more and more anxious. Something must've happened, otherwise she would've come to get me by now.

"I thought you were coming next month-"

The door outside creaked open as two sets of footsteps walked in, I immediately recognized Millie's voice.

"I thought you wanted to see me?", a male voice spoke up.

My head shot up at the sound of the other voice, I placed my hand against the closet door as I looked through the slits. Millie was facing the closet door, another tall figure with dirty blonde hair stood facing her.

"I do it's just", she sighed running her hands through her hair, "it's just not a good time right now."

"Is it noah?", the male asked stepping closer, "did he do something to you-was it Caleb or gaten?"

"N-no it's nothing, really I promise I'm fine", she assured him, her eyes flickering over to the closet.

"Millie", he lowered his voice, stepping even closer as he slid his hand around her waist, "you can tell me."

"Romeo-", Millie pushed her hands against his chest, trying to squirm out of his grip.

Romeo, what a god awful name. Sounds like someone out of a movie.

Romeo used his free hand to caress Millie's cheek, she stopped trying to escape as she looked slowly into his eyes.

I could already feel my insides being torn apart, I knew what was coming, and I couldn't stop it.

He backed her into the same spot where I stood only an hour ago. Her hand travelled up his arm to the back of his neck, her eyes flickering between what I guessed were his eyes and his lips.

Her eyes closed as he leaned in.

I closed my eyes and turned away from the view, who wants to see someone they care about kiss someone else in front of you.

I waved my hand over the wristband, 11:37.

The only sound in the room for the past 20 minutes was Millie's laughing and Romeos voice.

As for me, I've been staring blankly at the wall. I pressed my hands over my face as I leaned into my knees, only now noticing that tears has been streaming down my face.

   "I'll see you tomorrow."

   "Bye."

Footsteps trailed out of the room, the door closing behind them. I stood up from the back of the closet and walked over to the doors, peeking through the slits with my hands pressed against the doors.

Millie walked over to her bed, she covered her face with her hands and fell back onto her bed.

I wrapped my hand around the edge of the door and slid it open, a loud scraping noise sounding as it slid back into the wall.

Millie shot up from her bed in confusion.

"I heard and saw everything, there's no need to explain", I blankly stated, waving to her as a signal not to talk.

"Finn no", she jumped off her bed and ran to me, griping her hands around my arm.

I ripped my hand from her grip, the hands she had wrapped around his neck, "Millie I'm really not up for talking after that little freak show."

I continued walking over to her door, passing through I could already feel the tension disappearing, just like I could feel my love for Millie bobby brown fading away.
