Chapter 21 A Crazy Night

Violette's POV

I sat there in the hospital as Jacob lied in the bed the paramedics and the doctor had arrived just as he lost conciousness. They had to use a helicopter to get him from his home to the hospital because the traffic was really bad. Luckily they had allowed me to ride with them to the hospital Jacob's mothers explanation for me going was that if he woke if I was there he wouldn't freak out. He stirred a little making me look up to see him still lying there. Nothing I can do could help him he has to win this battle on his own I said to myself before I fell asleep watching over Jacob as he'd watched over me before. I woke to movement in the corner of the room and looked to see a man watching Jacob with a smile on his face. "What do you want," I asked him quietly. He walked over to me watching me carefully and occasionally looking over at Jacob. "I could heal him but at a price," he said. "Whats the price?" I asked curiously. "You would have to give me some of your blood," he said calmly. "You're a vampire aren't you?" I asked as he looked over at me. He nodded and quietly stood there waiting for my answer as I sat there. I thought before thinking of what Jacob would say if I told him I had given a vampire some of my blood. "I'm sorry but I have to say no," I replied. "Then I guess I'll have to take your blood by force," he said leaping at me. I jumped out of the way as his face hit the chair. I spread my wings and flew over to the window which was closed. I turned and looked at the vampire as he got closer and closer. I spat a fireball at him only for him to dodge it and grab me by my neck. "I'm going to enjoy drinking your royal blood," he whispered in my ear. I heard movement behind the vampire and hoped it was Jacob getting up to help me. I looked over the vampires shoulder to see a very angry looking Jacob peparing to shoot fire. I bit the vampires hand and moved out of the way just as Jacob spat fire sending the vampire out the window and falling towards the ground. "Jacob your okay," I said flying over to him and landing on his shoulder. "I just needed a nice long nap," he replied strecthing and grabbing his clothes off the end of the bed. He changed quickly and we left going out of the window that the vampire had gone flying out of.

Jacobs POV

I flew home carefully not wanting to reopen the wound on my chest. Violette was right behind me watching me carefully as we flew back to my home silently. When I arrived on the roof I was about to tuck in my wings when a bright light suddenly blinded me. "Get him now while he's disoriented," someone commanded. I quickly spread my wings and took off trying to get away as people charged me. I quickly began evading bullets that flew by me as I made my escape. "Violette plan Delta," I said activating our link. "Understood," she said quickly. Plan Delta is for emergencys if we're attacked Violette is to split off and hide until I giver her the signal. She broke off as I flew away before circling back and shooting fire at my attackers. I quickly broke off and flew upwards and transformed midair diving back down as a dragon I used my wings to create huge gusts of wind before tracing the light to a helicopter. I flew at it changing at the last second using my momentum to drive my claws into the glass. I felt power surge through my body as I pulled my fist back and slammed it into the glass shattering it. I jumped through the hole in the glass and knocked out the pilot grabbing him and jumping out of the helicopter taking him with me as I spread my wings. I set him down on the roof of the nearest building as the helicopter crashed to the streets below with a loud crash. I opened my wings and turned to fly away only to hear the pilot I had saved stir and the click of the hammer on a revolver. "Don't move or I'll shoot," she demanded. "You can try but if you miss your as good as dead," I said my back to her as I began to walk away with my wings spread. I heard her set down the gun as I jumped off the building and flew back to the fight.

I circled the building as bullets flew by me I dived in using my fists and claws to knock out the men shooting at me. I swooped down twice more before there was only their pathetic general left trying to hide. "Why did you try and capture me," I asked my eyes red with rage. "Dragons are rising up against us and we thought you might be one of them so we naturally decided to see if you'd kill anyone and based on what I've seen you won't not unless if their a threat to that dragon your protecting," he said with a smirk. "You leave Violette out of this or I'll kill anyone and everyone that dares try to stop me," I said my anger begining to start my transformation. "We won't touch her as long as you control her," he said begining to take a step backwards.

I turned and left my anger begining to fade, "All clear," I told Violette as I stepped into the elevator and pushed our floor number. When I got on our floor I made my way to our apartment but when I arrived I hesitated hoping my mom and dad hadn't heard the battle that had happened on the roof. As soon as I walked in I got a worried look from my mother who realized I was completely unharmed. "What were you doing out there?" she asked. "I was defending myself and no one was killed there may be a few injuries but I didn't kill anyone," I replied leaning against the wall watching the windows for Violette. When she appeared fear on her face I ran past my mom and opened the window and let her in and looked to see a man with a gun looking up at the window. I pulled my head back in and closed the window. "You okay Violette?" I asked her. "I'm just a little shaken thats all," she replied nervously. "Lets get you to bed," I said picking her up and carrying her to my room. After setting her in my bed I walked out of my room closing the door behind me and sat on the couch next to my mom. "Mom if I ever lose Violette I don't think I could control myself anymore," I said. "I know honey thats why if you do you have to know that we will only do whats best for you," she said hugging me and crying into my shoulder.

We hugged for a bit before a scared Mickayla came out of her room. "Whats wrong Mickayla?" I asked as my mom turned to look at her. I had a really weird dream that Blitz and I met a purple dragon and she gave me two things a gold ring and a gift that she wouldn't tell me what it was," she replied nervously. I jumped up and ran to my room slamming my door behind me before sitting on the floor and closing my eyes focusing on meeting Violettes parents.

I was soon standing before Violettes parents an angry expression on my face. "I expected you'd want to see us as soon as you found out about your sisters dream," Violette's mother said. "Why would you give her that power she's only a little kid," I yelled angrily. "We decided it would be best for the person who was being guarded by Blitz as you call him to have the same power," Violettes father said. "Why not your sister it will be easier for you to teach her how to use her abilities," Violettes mother added in. "I understand your reasoning but she's to young to understand what she's dealing with," I replied trying to calm down. "Then you must teach her. She will begin her transformation tomorrow," Violettes mother said. I was about to reply when suddenly the doors behind me burst open and I saw a green, blue, and purple dragon walk in and it took me a moment to realize that they were the dragons that my freinds and sister could turn into. "Where is Alazar?" Violettes mother asked. "I don't know he hasn't talked to any of us," the blue dragon answered. Violettes mother turned her head to me, "I think he somehow found a way to break through the barrier that allowed us to talk and is now somewhere hidden in my world," I said in one breath. "This is not good news Alazar has always been one of those that beleived that dragons should rule the world once more," Violette's father said. "My freinds and I will continue our search but so far he's hiding really well," I said. "I understand keep trying but for now go to sleep your going to need your rest if Alazar is planning what I think he's planning," Violettes father said to me. "Before I go what might he be planning?" I asked. "He's planning the rise of dragons," he finished before I disapeared and woke in my room with my mom and dad looking at me worriedly as I sat there on the floor. "I'm fine I just needed to talk to Violette's parents," I said reasurringly to them before laying down on my bed and closing my eyes listening as they left my room closing my door behind them.
