Chapter 14 Tiffany

Unknown POV

I watched as Jacob walked out of the hospital bandages covering his shoulders and band aides on his wings. Even when he was injured he still stood tall acting as if nothing was wrong. I wanted to meet him so bad but I couldn't work up the courage I let out a sigh and got in the car with my mom as we headed home. I let out a slight sigh as we left and swore to myself that I would force myself to meet him today.

Jacobs POV

I had just gotten back home and was about to lay on the couch when the doorbell rang. "Can you get that Jacob?" my mother asked from her room. I sighed and walked back over to the door and opened it to see Ryan and two of his other friends with him. "Holy cow you weren't lying it is him," said the guy on the left excitedly he had blonde hair and bright blue eyes that seemed to be filled with energy. The guy on the right stood there quitely as his eyes sized me up as if determining if I was a threat. He had black hair and dark brown eyes. "Come in," I gestered to them. "Mom wheres Violette?" I asked her. "She's in your room last I checked mumbling about poison or something," She yelled in reply. "Thanks," I yelled back signaling for Chris and his friends to follow me.

"Violette you ok?" I asked as I walked into my room. "I'm fine I've just been thinking about what happened a few nights ago you getting shot and all," she said saddness in her voice. "Lets not worry about it now we can take care of it later," I said looking into her deep purple eyes. She nodded and climbed up onto my shoulder. "Guys this is Violette and just to get this clear she is under my protection," I said sternly. "This is Kenny and this is Niko," he said pointing to the guy on his left then the guy on the right. "If you want me to turn into a dragon I'm not going to do it today because I am exhausted. Maybe after I've gotten some much needed rest, but until then I can show you a few things I can do," I said leading them out the door and to the elevator.

We arrived on the open roof where I made my way to the middle and spread my wings giving them a good stretch. "What are you gonna show us?" Kenny asked with a look of interest. "Watch my eyes," I instructed them. I focused and changed my eyes to dragon eyes and my vision sharpened and the distance I could see increased. "That is so cool," Kenny excalaimed. I felt a nudge from Alazar and I forced him away still angry with him. I felt my tail grow and horns begin to appear as my anger began to take hold. Violette who was sitting off to the side realized my anger was taking control she ran over to me and climbed up to my shoulder. "Calm down Jacob your starting to frighten the others," she whispered trying to calm me. I felt my anger begin to slip away and my tail and horns retract. I was tired and Niko realized this because as I was about to fall backwards Niko caught me, "You okay?" he asked worry in his voice. "Just a little tired," I replied as he helped me to sit down.

I sat there for a bit so I could regain my strength Niko sat next to me worry on his face. Ryan and Kenny approached us warily just in case if I lost control again. "Sorry to scare you guys I let my anger take control," I said shaking my head in shame. "There's no need to punish yourself because you got angry it gets the best of us," said Niko. I looked at him and hugged him "Thanks Niko," I said as he sat there shocked. I got back up and said, "Anyone wanna see me shoot a fireball?" Kenny, Ryan, and Niko all seemed to perk up as I said this. I cupped my hands over my mouth and inhaled. I let the fire build before I shot out the huge fireball. I heard someone whistle I grinned "That never gets old," I said to myself. Niko who had walked up next to me nodded. "Hey how did you get that tattoo on your arm?" Kenny asked. I looked at my arm and smiled, "It's a kind of like a marker that Violette and I are linked. It's also a way for us to communicate using our minds. How I got it though that's a good question. Violette wrapped herself around my arm and she heated her self up causing the tattoo as you put it to form," while I was finishing my sentence I was looking for Violette who had disappeared.

Tiffany POV

I had taken the elevator to the roof in the building Jacob lived in. When I arrived on roof I saw the small dragon sitting off to the side of three guys and Jacob. I snuck up behind the little dragon and clamped my hand over her mouth so she couldn't speak. I then quietly got back in the elevator with her in my grasp and went back down to the main floor where I stuffed her into a bag that was fire proof and hopefully strong enough to hold her. I made my way out onto the street where I headed home with my guest.

When I got home I ran up to my room where I opened my bag just enough to talk to the little dragon. "So your Violette," I said as purple eyes glared up at me. I heard a growl as a reply I sighed and opened the bag the rest of the way. She hurried out watcing me, "I'm sorry I couldn't think of any other way to talk to you in private and before I forget my names Tiffany," I said sadly to her. For a second I saw understanding flash in her eyes but anger quickly reapeared. "If you wanted to talk to me in private all you would have had to do is ask Jacob after introducing yourself now he might lose control or who knows because he doesn't know where I am," she said sounding angry yet worried. "If you know his phone number then I could call him for you and you two could talk," I suggested. She thought about this for a minute before telling me his home phone number. I called and held the phone for Violette

They talked for a bit and thankfully Violette didn't mention that I had kidnapped her she just said that she had gotten lost and that she would be staying at my house Jacob hung up, and soon Violette and I were goofing off in my room. It was twelve o'clock before we knew it and I was curled up on my bed with Violette at the other end. She seemed to be shaking a bit so I sat up and spoke, "Violette if your cold you can lay next to me you don't have to be at the other end of the bed." She quickly got up and she was soon laying against my stomache sleeping. I fell asleep soon after her and I had the wierdest dream.

I stood in front a blue dragon who had green eyes she spoke to me, "I am the dragon queen and kings adviser. I know that you love Jacob and that you have formed a bond with Violette. Do you swear to protect Jacob and Violette with your life?" I stared there dumbfounded I didn't know what was happening. I realized after some thinking that I still hadn't answered the dragons question so I answered, "I swear to protect them," I saw a slight grin appear on her face and soon the floor beneath me disapeared and I was falling into darkness.

I awoke with a start and looked down to see Violette staring at me intently. "Whats wrong?" I asked her puzzled. "Your eyes turned into dragon eyes for a minute there. Aw well I was probably seeing things," she said brushing it aside. "Come on lets go before Jacob gets to worried about me," she said hurriedly. I changed quickly and grabbed a poptart before we left.
