I opened my eyes the room spinning and my vision super blurry. I reached up and touched the back of my head and flinched when I touched the bump that had formed. I looked around the room the walls were a dark grey and the floor was cement. I looked over at the iron door that was my only way out at the moment. I tried to remember what had happened up until now I remembered the drive here someone carrying Zack in and then something hit me in the back of the head. "VIOLETTE!" I thought before standing up and storming over to the door. I vision shimmered and then cleared I quickly began to slice through the door. It was in pieces in a matter of seconds and I was storming through the hallways ready to kill anyone that stood in my way. I heard a bullet wiz by my ear and I turned around to see General Thomas staring me down, "Jacob you need to calm down," he warned the gun aimed at my head. I was having a hard time focusing and my thoughts were all jumbled up, "Jacob if you calm down and stop now I can take you to Violette," he his gun at the ready. I thought about it for a moment and calmed myself leaning against a wall as Thomas approached. He put a hand on my shoulder, "Lets get you to Violette," he said as I stood up. He led me through the hallways to a room where he opened the door and gestured for me to go inside. I entered and found Violette, Tiffany, and Niko all waiting for me, "Are you guys okay?" I asked nervously. "Yeah it turns out they just wanted to talk to us about all the sudden dragon appearances," Tiffany said as Niko and her held hands. I smirked and walked over to Violette who hopped off the table and into my arms, "I'm glad your okay Jacob I thought they might have hurt you," she said nervously. "It takes alot more than that to take me down," I said smiling at her. The man with white hair suddenly walked in, "Have a seat please," he said before sitting down.

I sat down and he quickly began to ask questions about dragons and if they had any weaknesses. We didn't answer him at first until Violette spoke, "Sir I'm sorry but I think we can all agree that if we told you about dragons that we'd feal like we would have betrayed every dragon alive," we all nodded in agreement. "Also I am the daughter of the king and queen of dragons so this is not information that is passed around as if it were no big deal," she added staring at him. "What about your human half you three aren't you betraying that side by not telling us what we need to know in a time of need," he said as his face began to turn red. "I'm sorry sir but we will not answer those questions. We will however help against the attacking dragons," Violette said her tone serious yet kind. The man seemed to calm down a bit at hearing this he got up and left the room and pulled out his communicator, "Escort them back to their homes," he said.

We were taken from the building out to multiple cars and driven to our homes but mine was in tatters so I was to go with Niko. The second we arrived I could tell Niko was nervous about something but I couldn't tell what about. A sudden thought struck and I looked over at Niko, "You haven't told them yet have you," I said getting a slight nod from Niko. "We don't have to tell them and remember it's up to you if and when we do," I said making him smile as he led the way to his front door. Violette was now hidden in my bag full of stuff. He knocked and a man with alcohol on his breath opened the door he looked at Niko and then at me, "Get in here," he said turning around and walking away. I stepped inside and took off my shoes leaving them by the door and followed Niko to what I assumed his living room. His dad was sitting on a recliner his black hair nearing his dark brown eyes, "Niko get me another beer," he yelled not turning to look at us. Niko scurried away and came back with a beer a second later before handing it to his drunken father. Niko led the way to his room it was small with a bed and a dresser, "Is this how your dad always acts?" I asked as Violette climbed out of my bag and layed down on Nikos bed. "He gets worse the more he drinks," Niko admitted. "Niko does he hit you?" I asked the question that had been floating in my mind. "Yes," he said quietly as he lowered his head. "We're leaving we can stay at Tiffanys her mom won't mind she knows about us," I said as I grabbed Nikos backpack and emptied it. I began to fill it with his clothes before handing it to him and walking out of his room and to the front door. I put on my shoes and was waiting for Niko to put on his when I remembered Violette was on Nikos bed still. I quickly snuck back to Nikos room and picked her up before turning around startled to see Nikos father staring me down, "Niko isn't leaving he's staying here with his dad," he said cracking my knuckles. "If you want a fight you've got one," I said putting Violette back down and dropping my bag. He swung at me and missed completely him being to drunk to see straight. I delivered a swift kick to his stomach and threw a punch that connected with his jaw making him slump against the wall. I picked my stuff back up and left with Niko in the direction of Tiffanys house.

We arrived tired and sweaty from the run to her house. I knocked on the door and wasn't surprised when her mom ushered us in, "Tiffany some friends are here to see you," she called up the stairs. Tiffany came down a minute later and hugged us both, "What are you two doing here?" she asked. "We decided it would be best if we stuck together," I said lying. "Are you two hungry?" Tiffanys mom asked sweetly. I nodded and looked at Violette who had been sleeping alot and I was begining to worry about her. "Violette are you okay?" I asked her concerned as we made our way up the steps to the guest bedroom. "I honestly feel tired and sick," she said her eyes seeming not so bright. "You are not to go anywhere but in the guest bed while I try and figure out whats wrong," I said laying her down. "Okay," she said laying down on the bed. I took one last look at her before leaving the room and going downstairs. I stepped into the kitchen and Tiffany immediantely read my emotions, "Jacob whats wrong?" she asked. "I think Violettes sick," I said leaning against the wall and running my hand through my hair. "We better keep an eye on her then," Tiffany said sadly. "No one is to go in the guest room except me I don't want you guys getting sick as well," I said getting worried looks from Niko and Tiffany and then understanding nods. I couldn't force myself to eat Violette filling my thoughts, "Jacob if you plan on taking care of her your going to need energy eat," Tiffanys mother pointed out. I sighed and began to eat some of my food before getting up and going up to the guest room where Violette slept. I opened the door and stepped in before laying down next to her. She had a sudden fit of coughing I looked at her and the coughing stopped as suddenly as it started. I closed my eyes and forced myself to sleep.

I opened my eyes to see Violettes parents before me, "Jacob you need to know that this sickness is a result of Violette not completing the full linking in fear it could kill you," her mother said. "How could it kill me?" I asked. "Your mind might not be able to handle the stress of being linked to eachothers emotions and minds," her father added. "What do I have to do?" I asked wanting to save Violette. "You have to convince her to finish the bond," her mother said. "I guess I should return and try and convince her," I said as my dream shimmered and disapeared

I opened my eyes to see Violette coughing again, "Violette," I said softly making her look in my direction. "You need to finish the bond," I said placing a hand on her neck causing her to calm slightly. "I know but I didn't want to hurt you anymore that night," she said sadly. "What do we have to do?" I asked her. "I need you to put your head to mine and I'll take care of the rest," she said softly. I placed my head against hers and felt a sudden pain that quickly disappeared. When I opened my eyes I could see myself which was strange I quickly realized I was looking through Violettes eye at the moment we first met. The vision changed to when she was burning the mark on my arm and then again to the time we were fighting the vampire. It changed to the time I had fought the red dragon and then to the time we had worked together to kill the green dragon. Everything blurred again and I realized I was in a little bag that was to strong to cut with tooth or claw. I thought through everything that had happened and nothing came to mind. The bag suddenly opened and I could see Tiffany standing there looking in. It took me a moment to realize she had captured Violette not found her. I wasn't even angry. The visions sped ahead to the spot where Violette was being tortured and I could feel the pain she felt until it stopped and the vision changed to when I had been knocked unconcious.

The visions finally stopped and I realized I was about the same size as Violette and my head hurt immensely, "That was strange," I managed to say through my dizzyness. "Are you okay?" Violette asked concerned. "I'm fine I just need to rest," I said laying down. I felt Violette lay down next to me and we fell asleep.
