I know that I promised Jaycee that everything’s fine with me. And I know that in love, there should be trust. Pero, is this an exception? Long Distance Relationship ang gagawin namin. Everyone knows that not all LDRs survive, especially when my boyfriend’s going to continue his degree overseas. What should I do then...? Well, I guess there’s nothing left but to try.
I’m actually waiting for Jaycee. This is not a date, but hell, every day is a date whenever I’m with him. Sinusulit ko na ang bawat araw na natitira na makakasama ko siya since March is approaching. And that means, malapit na siyang umalis. It’s something that I’m having a hard time accepting. Ay wait! Something just crossed my mind.
“What’s that you’re reading?” narinig ko boses niya, kaya napatingala ako para tingnan siya.
“Nothing, just the book version of my hubby’s movie.” Sagot ko. I’m playing with him.
“I didn’t know I had a movie.” Sabi niya. Kapal talaga ng face ng baby ko. Ang kapal at ang gwapo po!
“Excuse me, but you’re my boyfriend. Zac Efron’s my hubby.”
“Ouch. Straight up, babe. Sakit nun ah.” Nagpacute na naman siya. Ayoko na. Kasi naman eh.
“Oo na. Joke lang. You’re my one and only kaya! I love you~” sabi ko tsaka ako nagflying kiss sa kanya. Kunwari may sinalo siya tsaka niya dinampi sa lips niya yung palad niya tapos biglang nagwink. Feeling ko nalusaw ako. Gwapo eh.
Aba aba! Alam kong gutom siya, baka pwedeng magpaalam muna? Kulit talaga nitong boyfriend ko, oo!
“And, what do you think you’re doing?” tanong ko sa kaniya oras na sinubo niya yung kutsara na ginamit niya sa pagkuha ng piraso ng cake ko.
“Eating.” Simpleng sagot niya and he just continued eating.
“Yeah, eating MY cake.” Diniinan ko yung MY. In-emphasize ko para makaramdam naman lol.
“I know. That’s why I’m eating it.”
Oh diba? Compromise lang yan. Para walang away. “So, how was practice?” tanong ko.
“It’s fine. The guys are asking bakit daw nagbobother pa kong magpractice when I’m leaving them naman in a month.” Sagot niya. Yeah, just like how you’re leaving me...
“Tama nga naman. You can just go to the gym if you want to stay fit.”
“But attending football practice is different from just going to the gym. And besides, I’ll only waste the membership fee that I’m going to pay since I only got less than a month left. At least yung practice libre.” Seryoso niyang sagot.
“Pff. Cheapskate.” Pang-inis ko sa kaniya.
“I am not!” nainis nga! He always pays for our dates naman. Ayaw lang kasi niyang tinatawag siyang ganun.
“I know, I know. I was just messing with you.” Ngiti ko sa kaniya. He just sticked his tongue out! Lalaking to talaga!
“Not funny. You know what’s funny? This...” kinuha niya ng kutsara niya yung natirang cake tsaka kinain. Napanganga na lang ako. Grabehan to.
“I was going to eat that!”
“But you called me cheapskate.”
“Yeah, because you are.”
“I am not. And I’m gonna prove it to you.”
“Try me.”
Mukha kaming nag-aaway no? Pero hindi. Ganyang nga kami talaga magkulitan. Tumayo siya at oumunta sa counter. Pagbalik niya nakita ko may dala siyang tray. Teka may nasa-sight akong Red Velvet cakes! Oo nga! Red Velvet cake!
“Okay fine, you’re not a cheapskate. Gosh. This is why I love you so much.”
