Chapter 8

After doing the Breakfast Club I had an interview with some online company and then had to head to the Hot 97 Buildings. I would be there for the rest of the day either interiewing or doing some radio specials. Hot 97 was much easier to handle than Power 105.1 but it was still an interview. Today I was rolling kinda deep becuase Will was on a mini-break with the tour so we had like everyone up in the building with us.

As I walked into the recording room it was like I was getting flashbacks to when I first started out in the game and all the late night shows that we had to do for people to hear about us. Before the interview started one of the producers handed me a mic, told me not to curse and then gave me some water. I was getting anxious and happy, like I just wanted to get through this on a high note.

Reporter: So today we have the one and only Young J, he's just stopped by with probably a good 3/4 of KUDOS and everyones in high spirits

Reporter 2: Okay, so we recently got this track with you and Cole and everyone was like this is soundin like some classic stuff, are we going to exxpect more of this on the album?

Me: Yeah, I've branched out with my features. You know me and Cole been workin around for a minute and we make nice shit, but I just wanna get some stuff out to the fans

Reporter: Okay, but can you tell us the deets on the features, have you figured out the tracklist yet?

Me: Yeah, I let my homeboys come through and they make the tracklist for me. As for features I got the classics like Eminem, and Jay, I got some Kendrick on there, some people from KUDOS and I got Cole and a track with August Alsina, but I'm still workin on it so there may be more

Reporter 2: That tracklist is sounding like fire, are we gonna have another single out before the album drops?

Me: That's a good question and I honestly don't know. I've been doin mad features so if thsoe songstake off then I'm just gonna leave it but I may do another one

Reporter: So we see that you're rollin maybe 12 deep, are yall alwyas like that ?

Me: Nah, it's just that everyone wanted to hook up for the day and I was like come to NY so we gonna hang but I usually roll with like 6 people

reporter 2: So word on the street is that a new KUDOS album is in the works, can you comment about that?

Me: Honestly I'ma let Will take the mic cause he would know more about that than me. like they stay keepin me outa the loop

Will: Listen up, I'm set the record straight, people can say what they want but the world will just have to wait and see, maybe you'll wake up one day and see that 30 songs came from us or maybe you'll hear nothing and just have to move on

Reporter 2: Yall rapper stay with that

Me: Yeah we have to keep the suspense going. with all the social media people can always track you and it's hard at times but I got mad love for the fans and the music bus and I'm happy that they're welcomin me back with open arms

Reporter: So are we going to hear anything about a tour?

Me: Tryna get the album out and see what the fans say. If they aren't rocking with my new shut then I'm not going to do a tour but who really knows

Reporter: okay, so people may not know this but me and you have been friends for a minute and I've actually gotten the chance to listen to the album. As a music critic I can honestly say that this is probably on the same level we your debut or even better. Like it's some classic shit and I know that you put a lot into it but for the fans can you tell then what your mindset was
