Nadya POV

The next morning I was up on the phone calling al my friends. I wasn’t the social media type but I had to show the world my ring and what was going on. I immediately started to get all these likes and the next thing I know my homegirl Bria is telling me that I’m a trending topic on Twitter. That made me nervous but I figured that Jay had put in his two cents for people to be coming after me like that. When we reached back home from the engagement party I had done my part to get him to some new highs and he had definitely returned the favor. I was surprised that he actually had any energy left in him but when I woke up there was breakfast waiting for me.

Later in the day Momma Wright actually came over to come and speak with me. I didn’t know how the conversation was going to go but since our dinner in Paris things had started to get smother. 

Momma Wright, “Well congrats on the engagement. I know that Jayden is going to have a blast with you and make the perfect husband”

Me, “Thank you, Are you excited, your boy is getting married?”

Momma Wright, “I”m more than happy. He’s basically the fist child I had to ever get really married. I know that he’s going to pull out all the stops to make sure that you have everything that you need”

Me, “Well it’s a family event so I want everyone to be involved but I haven’t really made any plans”

Momma Wright, “Girl we are going to have to so much fun planning this. Have you thought about anything, like the number of bridesmaids or where you would want to have it?”

Me, “Well I wasn’t sure how many people we would have in it but I want something small. Maybe like under 200, and something in the late summer or maybe late spring. I was thinking that we would wait until we head back home to talk more about it”

Momma Wright, “Okay. Now how are things going to be done, like where are you going to be stationed”

Me, “Are you not coming back down to Houston with us? Kia was talking about how you were thinking about heading down here with us”

Momma, “Yeah but my two sons are out and they are out in Maryland. Travis is heading back up to New York and I honestly was thinking about going with him there, to help with the kids and see some family.Kia would come along because she needs the help that I have and I wasn’t sure that you guys would be staying in Hosuton”

Me, “Why wouldn’t we?”

Momma, “Well I heard Jay talking about how he was going to send his real estate agent out to Cali to start looking for some places. I assumed that you were going to head out there”

Me, “Well we haven’t officially decided anything yet. I don’t know what’s going to go on but I do know that I can’t do all of this by myself”

Momma, “baby girl you don’t have to worry about that. I know that we would be able to do something or work some type  of schedule out”

Me, “Yeah we better. I love staying in Houston but my mom is heading out to LA and I can’t have her not live around me. she’s always been there for me”

Momma, “She’s still going to be there for you baby girl. It’s just that your sister is having a baby and she’s a first time mom. I think that she’s going to need your mom more than you do now”

Me, “It’s crazy to think that like a year ago I would have never imagined that I was going to be in Australia, and I would have never thought that I would be engaged. It all just feels like a dream”

Momma, “Well baby it’s not a dream. I was hesitant at first to get to know you because the last person that Jay brought home for us to meet was a total disaster and that shattered his world.But I can honestly say that you are a true sweetheart and you are going to make an amazing wife and hopefully an amazing mother to his children”
