The Exception

Being back home could be fun but I wasn't able to stay around long enough for anything great to happen. I had talked to Nadya and the whole family and she wanted me to take the older kids out on the road and she would handle the younger kids. Somehow by the end of July I would have everyone with me and then all of August would be an international tour. That was sounding both expensive and crazy for me but if that's what the Queen wanted then that's what was going to happen. 

Getting all the older kids organzied was a whole nother problem and it was crazy.My tour was suppose to start in April but we had to push it back two weeks because of these kids. On the day that we were supposed to head out from Houston everyone was going crazy trying to make sure that everyone had their things. Nadya was so far gone with all the packing that I had made her go to the spa for some alone time. She wasn't anywhere on the level that I needed her to be so some reinforcements were brought in.

 My home had somehow become a family daycare drop off center and I had both Nadya's family and my own family just taking and dropping kids off. Rose and Kevin were at the house almost every other day with more or less kids and asking questions about traveling. My main concern however was getting these kids ready to go.

Me, "Kia can you please call down Joshua, Tatianna, Kayla and Danielle. Tell them to bring all of their stuff"

Kia, "Boy stop screaming on the phone. I got the baby to sleep and you need to calm down"

Me, "Kia tell them to come down. the bus is downstairs and we need to get their stuff on. We leave tomorrow, no games"

Kia, "Okay, now are you sure that you can handle all of them, they are some slick kids that like to play around"

Me, "Kia I'm not some old man. I know that Brandon and Travis coming back soon and they gonna be gone. I gotta get in as much time as I can"

Kia, "Okay so we really serious with taking everyone out to Europe. like that's going to be crazy"

Me, "Yeah. I already got my assistant Kelsey to book us a house out in England for some shows and then I got some shows out in Australia for about two weeks and we gonna stay out there for a second. I heard that it's mad nice and I wanna see what they have"

Kia, "So your girl coming to or nah?"

Me, "Yeah, she family and we got her whole family coming along. Like I'ma do it big or go home"

Kia, "Wow things must be serious between you two, like are we going to be expecting a wedding ring soon"

Me, "I don't know. that's some over the top shit, but maybe"

Kia, "Okay, well I've seen you go through some crazy shit and this would be nice. She does you well and you take care of that boy like he's your own. that's a good man"

Me, "That's what my brothers taught me to be. Like I do what the right thing is so I'ma be there. my family always stay central to me"

Kia, "I hear that"

Me, "Where are these kids, did you call them?"

Kia, "Yeah, I called them down already. they probably tryna get their bags down the stairs. knowin danielle and kayla that's probably 30 bags between the two"

Me, "Look I told them the rules so if they are going to act all crazy with the clothes and hair shit then we aren't going to do it. I already got ma down my back for pullin them outa school but it's not like they were doin anything crazy"

Kia, "You never liked goin to school as a child. I remember daddy used to throw water all over you and then you would try and fight everyone to stay home. those where the days"

Me, "It just never served me well, like I was always into just doing me and having fun. school was always trouble and drama"

Kia, "That's true but these girls they love school and the boys. I heard Tati on the phone with some boy. you need to talk to her cause she sound like she into some freaky shit and the last thing we need is Travis coming home and he have some daughter with a baby"

Me, "Imagine. he'd be like, "my nigga I left you with my kids and now I'm a granddaddy. I aint ask for much but this aint what I want"

Kia, "Exactly. just see what's in her mind and how much she knows. you've always been good with that type of stuff"

Me, "Okay, I see her now. lemme go ask her"

Kia, "Okay"

Me, "Tati, Danielle, Kayla and Joshua come over here. I wanna take you 4 out for dinner and talk. We bouta go on tour and I need to set some rules down for what is good and bad and what to expect"

Danielle, "Can we go and get some BBQ, like I been feelin for that since the beginnin of the week:

Me, "Okay. but hurry up and get in the car. I'm leavin in three minutes with or without you"

                                   Dinner

Me, "Okay so how has school been going?"

Tati, "I though you said we woud be talkin about the tour, what does that have to do with school?"

Me, "Damn Tati, can I not ask you about school? Like I'm payin money to send you to school so I wanna know what's goin on. Are you gonna tell me or nah?"

Danielle, "Unlike Tati I actually enjoy school and I've made friends. they're a little mad that we just left but I told them that you would fly them out to Australia and we could hang"

Me, "Damn Dani you done just took over the family vacation. so what do you guys do in school and I want to hear from everyone"

Joshua, "Why are you so interested in us now? Is something going on?"

Me, "No, I'm just an uncle wanting to learn some more. I know that I've been away with my music and now we are going on the road but I want to see what's going on"

Joshua, "School is fine. you know  I get good grades but Houston is very different from New York. I can't wait until daddy gets back and we move"

Me, "Well why do you think that you're going to move. What if your dad loves Houston?"

Joshua, "He isn't going to like it here. Sorry Uncle J but this place is to backwoods for us"

Me, "Okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Now Kayla you havent' said anything. what's going on in that head of yours"

Kayla, "Is that why we are going on tour with you. is it because our dad' are coming back home soon?"

Me, "No , I told you that I wanted to hang with my nieces and nephews, you two have become like kids to me and we don't bond as much as we should have"

Kayla, "So what are we supposed to be doing when you're performing. like I don't know any of your music like that"

Me, "Well when we are in the U.S. you four can hang, watch TV on the bus, hang with my people or come to the shows. We haven't exactly planned every detail but whatever you wanna do. I know that we're going to be heading out to Cali so there's the beach and some fairs"

Tati, "Why where you and Kia talking about me on the Intercom, like I don't like that shit?"

Me, "Cause Kia heard you acting all reckless on the phone with some dude and she's worried. Now I stay honest with you and you do the same with me. yall been knowin that since day 1. so what's really going on boyfriend girlfriend wise"
