"Why exactly are we walking like ten metres behind them?" Jungkook questioned.
He had tried to catch up to Taehyung and Eunbi but was stopped by Iseul. She looked up at him and shook her head. He was too oblivious for her liking.
"Remember my idea of setting them up?" she reminded him, "That was why we invited you and your housemate."
"I thought we decided not to do that?"
"First of all, I never agreed to that. Anyways, it's too late now."
She had a sly smirk upon her expression as she carefully watched her friend enthusiastically talk about something which Iseul couldn't hear. Whatever it was, it seemed to interest Taehyung. Neither of them seemed to look too uncomfortable or bored, that was a good sign.
"Please tell him nice things about Eunbi," Sora chipped in, "I know she seems like...she has lost the plot but I promise you she is actually a decent human being worth interacting with."
Iseul laughed out loud at her attempt to pitch their friend. Even Jungkook managed to let out a chuckle.
"You should know that is very rich coming from Sora who hates just about ninety percent of the population."
"I'm not even that close to him though," Jungkook thought out loud, scratching the back of his head.
"Well become friends then!" exclaimed Isuel, "Tell me, who else are you close to other than Jun?"
He glanced down at her, "You?"
"The fact that you are closer to me than your own housemate says a lot about you." She laughed. "Especially since we only recently met."
"Quality over quantity, Iseul," said Sora.
Once they made it to the karaoke bar, they didn't have to wait long before being escorted into a room. Before they were all inside, Eunbi charged straight for the small box in the front full of costume accessories. She took out a bright pink fur scarf and wrapped it around her neck before handing an equally bright green one to Iseul. The two girls laughed loudly as they dressed each other up in curly wigs.
"Oh boy, it has begun," said Sora, shaking her head.
Jungkook raised a curious brow at her comment because he wasn't quite sure what she meant by that. But it wasn't going to take long before he would find out. By that time it would be too late to back out.
Sora and the two guys had taken a seat on the rounded leather sofa. Eunbi and Iseul were at the front individually holding a microphone, now both ridiculously dressed.
"Alright! Who wants to kick start this evening with a song?" asked Eunbi, looking at their mini audience of three people.
None of them replied. Mainly due to Sora too busy indulging into the little tray of snacks on the table. Meanwhile Jungkook looked awkward as per usual, maybe even a little more uncomfortable due to the new company he was surrounded with. Taehyung just looked lost, he felt like that too because he wasn't used to being in such environment.
"Should we just go first then?" Iseul asked her friend.
Eunbi grabbed the remote and pressed three numbers on it. They didn't have to check in the song book as thick as a dictionary because she knew the number of their favourite karaoke song off by heart.
The familiar tune filled the once quiet room and Iseul hollered loudly on the microphone whilst Eunbi proceeded to nod her head in time with the beat.
"Oh God," said Sora, smiling because she knew they were going to drag her into it.
"Come on, unni! We can't do this song without you."
