A Gift

Chapter 12

"Saki! You've known full well why I have taken her!"

"You don't know anything! She is mine!"

"You do not deserve her! How could you do that to a infant!"

"She wouldn't SHUT UP!"

"That does not give you the right to do what you did!"

"I saw fear in her once she shut up! I saw discipline! She is my daughter and I have the right to do whatever I want to her!!!"

"Exactly! She is your daughter! What you have done is illegal!"

"I did what I had to do Yoshi. Now she knows." Saki said turning his back to Yoshi.

There was a moment of silence. "Me and Shen are taking her from you. We are leaving Tokyo and going to America."

Yoshi started to walk out of the house. He looked over his shoulder, "I hope the next time we meet, that you will treat others better than you do now.

"Yoshi! She is my daughter! If you take her I will find you and I will kill you and Shen! Then once I get my hands on my daughter...I will bring hell to her!"

"Then I will protect her will my life." Yoshi turned and walked out the house.

Yoshi called his wife Shen.

"Shen...are you and the baby alright? No problems?"

"We are fine Yoshi." Came a soft voice from the other side of the phone, "she is sleeping at the moment."

"Good. We will need to get on a plane to New York soon. I have Leona's birth certificate and social security. I am going to get her a passport and hopefully we can get on a plane soon."

"Good. Yoshi..."

"What is it Shen?"

"I'm scared for her. How could Saki do something like that to her? She is just an infant. Barely a month old." Shen said tears streaming down her face while she looked down at Leona who was cuddled up in a blanket resting in Shen's arms.

Yoshi heard his wife crying, he felt the sadness that she felt. "Do not worry Shen, she will be safe with us."

"We must not ever tell her of Saki, Yoshi. She must not know of him. Yes she is his adopted child, but now she is ours. We must love and care for her. Tell her that we are her parents. I just want to keep her away from Saki as long as possible." Shen said looking down at Leona, caressing her cheek.

"We will protect her Shen. I'm sure of it."

Silence.

"I love you Shen. Be safe. I'll be home tomorrow or later tonight. I am going to get Leona a passport. Once I have it, we will leave immediately to New York."

"Alright Yoshi. Just be safe, please. I love you."

"I love you to Shen. Bye."

"Bye."

The call ended. Shen looked down at the baby girl she held in her arms. She was a doctor, she had been surprised that the little girl she held at the moment had survived what Saki put her through. He had stabbed her.

Leona's eyes slowly opened, looking up at the brown eyes staring at her, giving a smile. Shen returning the smile looking into Leona's beautiful ocean blue eye.

Shen continued caressing her cheek, Leona leaning into her hand staring at her with curious eyes, "Do not worry...my daughter, I will forever protect you, including your....father, Yoshi. We will love and care for you. Cherish every moment with you, laugh with you, spoil you rotten." Shen said smiling when Leona giggled. The two stared into one another's eyes, Shen caressing Leona's head. Leona's eyes slowly shut, falling back to sleep. Curling up more in Shen's arms.

"I love you Leona."

All of this ran through Tang Shen's head while her and Yoshi infiltrated Saki's lair. They knew that their daughter had been kidnapped and beaten. They new the threat Saki had told Lea. They new everything from the beginning. And both parents were determined to get back their child.

"Come on Shen! I see Saki!"

Shen nodded her head towards Yoshi. She quickly defeated the last Foot ninja in the room, following her husband into the other room, where Saki stood in front of a medal door.

"Let our child go!" Yoshi said enraged.

"You know full well that she is my child! Not yours!"

"Saki...please just let Leona go! She should not be a part of this rivalry at all." Shen tried to reason.

"Shut up!"

"Don't talk to my wife like that!!!" Yoshi yelled.

"I will talk to Shen however I want!"

"No you may not! I will not tolerate you talking to me like that!"

Saki looked at the two with anger in his eyes.

"I will be finishing the two of you tonight. You will never see my child again."

Yoshi and Shen stood side by side, both in a defensive position, waiting for Saki to strike.

"See you in hell!"

After Saki had said that, all hell broke out. Strikes were thrown from both sides.
Kicks, punches, swinging blades.
Yoshi and Shen had cuts all over there bodies. Shen was already on the ground, Yoshi in front of her, protecting her.
Saki spin kicked Yoshi, slowly landing as he watched his once step-brother fall on the ground beneath him.

Both Shen and Yoshi looked up at Shredder.

"Today you fall!"

Saki picked Shen up by the neck.

"Saki! Don't do this!" Yoshi yelled at him.

Saki revealed his steel claws, bring back his arm, readying to strike Shen in her abdomen. He then thrusted his blades towards Shen.

Everything went in slow motion, Saki saw Shen being thrown back, out of his grip. He was to slow though to retract his blades. He meet a target, but not the target he wanted to meet.

He looked down at the person the blades had went through. Both staring into the others eyes.

Dark beady eyes stare into beautiful ocean blue ones.

"....gasp..." Lea's head fell back as she gasped.

"Leona!!!!"

"Lea!!!"

Lea turned her head in the direction the voices had come from, all the while Shredder just staring at her in shock.

She smiled a small smile to her parents, boyfriend and friend.

She turned back to look at Saki. Seeing his look of shock.

"Leona....I....I'm....I'm sorry..." Saki said retracting his blades and gently placing her on the ground. Guilt written all over his face.
