At first my awakening was a dull light, barely noticeable so at first I ignored it. Then, it started getting bigger and bigger, blinding me in my darkness so I couldn't see anything but the light.
It wasn't a normal light either. It had a soul, a being harbouring it if you will, and I I could tell it was the Moon. She'd found my resting place, she'd come to meet me to take me to the stars.
"Alastrine."
I couldn't see anything, but I could still hear, and my mouth moved so I could speak with ease.
"Yes."
"The female that dared to challenge two Alpha's in her lifetime."
"Is it my time?" I asked, not wanting to beat around the bush.
"Your mate-"
I growled at the mention of Orion, feeling my teeth extend through my gums.
But that couldn't happen, I wasn't alive. Wasn't I?
"Your mate caused harm I've never seen before, and there's nothing I can do to stop you from coming to the stars."
"I don't want you to stop me." I admitted.
A flutter of laughter flew out of her mouth, startling me so my hands twitched by my sides.
"I know." She chuckled."But what about Marcos, and Keiko, and Anya."
"They'll all understand, they saw him kill me." I protested.
"But what about the man you were fighting for? He stayed alive because he believed you two would be reunited, and now you're going to leave him?"
"Alistair's alive -"
"And so is your brother."
A gasp escaped my lips, the sound carried up into the light.
"My brother's alive?" I choked out, tears threatening to spill down my face
"Yes."
"What about my father, is he alive too?"
"My apologies...your father passed away shortly after you were banished."
"Is he okay? In the stars, I mean." I asked.
"He's fine, young female, but you need to focus on the real matter at hand."
I nodded. "If, say, I wanted to find my brother, what would I need to do?"
"You would need to heal first, of course, you want to go to the stars so what's the use in telling you?"
"I want, no, need to find my brother."
"Just a few minutes ago, you wanted to die." She queried.
"Well, know I don't. Please, help me."
"I can't help you, only point you in the right direction. Only you can help you."
"Then point me in the right direction, please."
"Young female, as I said before, first you need to heal."

This was originally going to be a longer chapter, focusing on Alastrine waking up and having to face Orion.
But since y'all couldn't just wait a little longer, THIS is the outcome.
455 words, that's the shortest chapter I've ever written.
Anyway you impatient little &#^#*, hope you enjoyed it.
Only kidding.
