10-"I can't help myself"

"Me and Adele are going away for a couple of nights" my dad says, to me and Ethan.

Adele says, "so we thought that when your friends stay over tomorrow, they can stay a few more nights if you want?"

"Great" Ethan says, enthusiastically.

I smile, to myself though, I can't let them see my excitement.

I see Ethan messaging someone on his phone, I shouldn't look, but I can't help myself.

"Yo team, any of you guys wanna stay at mine for a few days? Parents are away." I read.

"I'm in"- Harry

"Sure, I'll be there"- Vik

"Sounds cool"- Tobi

"Sureee"- Simon

"Will Jade be there tho?"- JJ

"Yeah, why?" Ethan replies.

Why did he ask that, does he not like me or--

"Good good, just wondering 😉" - JJ

oh dear.

Josh warned me about how JJ was, but he's probably just trying to wind Ethan up.

"Josh says he'll come too, but his phones dead"- Simon.

Cool, all of them are--

"Yeah I'll come"- Cal

Now, that's someone I don't know.

"Yeah me too"- Freezy

Freezy, surely that's not a name?

Who's Freezy?--

"Can't dude, I'm away for a couple days"- Manny

Wait... I know that name, I'm sure I've--

Manny, from the restaurant.

I realise, I'm watching Ethan's phone still and I look away.

"What time are you going?" Ethan asks, clearly aiming to tell them what time to come round.

"About 4, so in that case we need to get ready" Adele says, looking to my dad for the second part.

"See you soon 😉" I read

Simon, of course.

"You know, I'm surprised you keep messaging me on twitter" I reply.

"Whyyyyyy" he says, quickly.

"You haven't even asked for my number yet, you're slacking 😂🙄" I type, smile to myself then press send.

"You haven't either 🤔" he says, making me smile again.

"Guess we're both slacking then" I reply.

"07-------" he replies, then again:

"Who's slacking? Not me!" I laugh at his cringily motivating reply.

I put his number into my phone

"Simon 😈"

"Sup it's Jade" I text him, making sure he has my number.

"Ew how'd you get my number" he replies, making me giggle.

"Fangirl gave it to me" I say, before putting my phone down.

I need to tidy my room.

I sit down on my bed, opening my laptop.

6:57 pm

Dad and Adele went a couple of hours ago, meaning that for around the last three hours, it has been possible that the boys could come any minute.

I go on to my twitter and check for notifications.

"@josie_SDMN: @Jade------- You're doing a video with Simon?!?!? I'm sooooo excited!!"

I like the tweet,

then hear noise coming from downstairs,
