21- "thank you"

The opening of the front door catches my attention, as Tobi walks over to me.

I unenthusiastically smile at him, wiping the tears from underneath my eyes.

He sits on the wooden steps outside of the house, just next to me.

"You looked cold, so I brought you this" he holds a hoodie out to me, a Sidemen one.

I notice that it is larger than the one that I have, and when I hold it out to put it on, I notice that it is different to mine too.

Clearly Tobi notices my confusion: "I didn't want to go through all of your stuff or anything, so I brought you one of mine" he smiles.

"Thank you"

I put it on and then rest my head in it's original position, wiping tears away once again.

"It's not your fault what happened earlier" Tobi says, looking into my eyes.

"It kind of is" I sigh, "but he was lying, I definitely didn't kiss him back"

"I know you didn't, and so does everyone else"

I furrow my eyebrows, confused, "what"

"You like Simon a lot, we can see that, and he likes you too, it's no secret Jade" he giggles slightly, and at first I smile but it drops as I begin speaking again.

"I love him, I really do Tobi, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore, he hates me"

"He doesn't hate you Jade, he doesn't have it in him to, he loves you" he pauses, "he gets giggly when someone says your name, he blushes when you talk to him, and he never stops looking at you, trust me"

He does? How have I not noticed all of these things before.

"Not now, not after this" I look down to the floor.

"Don't worry about it Jade, stuff like this happens all the time, Simon and JJ will make up, they're both drunk right now, it's clouding their judgment. Especially JJ. You and Simon will be fine, I know it."

I don't reply this time, just smile at him.

Me and Simon. I like that.

Lost in my thoughts, Tobi becomes slightly awkward just sat there, so he speaks again:

"Well, I'm gonna go to bed now, are you coming inside or--"

"No, I need to know that Simon is okay, I'm going to wait for him out here" I say.

"Okay, I'll see you in the morning then, Goodnight Jade" he smiles, standing up.

"Goodnight" I smile to, as he begins to walk back into the house.

"Oh Tobi," he turns around, "Thank you"

"Anytime"
