17- "I love you"

My aching head on his lap, with his warm, comforting hands in my hair. His face, so concentrated on the tv, that his eyes light up every so often. But it's not the tv I'm looking at.

The contours of his face, so perfectly shaped, even better so when he smiles. His eyes, are my favourite colour and they shine so beautifully in the light.

Interlocking our fingers, I close my eyes, the feeling cold bag of vegetables on my head, soothing my pain as I fall to sleep.

I hear a door, forcefully opening, forcing me to wake up. "They're back" he whispers into my ear, I can hear the smile in his voice at my tired face.

I sit up, feeling quite dizzy.

"Shhh" he says, "rest your head and go to sleep" (if you thought of Eminem just then we're clearly the same person) I lay my head a a cushion beside me, closing my eyes once again.

-Simon's POV-

She looks so beautiful when she's sleeping.

I don't really know what we are right now, but I want to be with her.

"Hey guys how are--" JJ begins speaking, but sees she is asleep and stops, beginning speaking again in a whisper: "how is she?"

"She's okay, she literally just fell asleep" I say.

"Oh cool, uh, what did the doctor say?" Josh says.

"She has mild concussion and her arm is badly sprained"

"I feel so bad" Josh says, admitting that he kicked the ball.

"She will be fine Josh, don't worry, she just needs some rest" I say, smiling.

He nods his head, still looking slightly guilty.

"Ill take her upstairs, so we don't disturb her sleeping" I say, standing up and sliding one arm under her back, and the other underneath her legs, carefully picking her up.

I walk upstairs as she buries her head into my chest, I can tell she's still slightly awake as she wraps her arms around my neck.

"Are you awake?" I whisper, smiling down at her in my arms.

"Lil bit" she groans, causing me to laugh slightly.

"I'm just taking you upstairs babybehz, go back to sleep."

"Maybe I don't want to minter"

I laugh at her use of my last name.

"You need to, the doctor said"

She opens her eyes, just to roll them and then closes them again.

I laugh,

"You know if you weren't cute if probably hate you" I say.

"Good job I'm cute then isn't it?"

Her eyes are open now, and she's smiling at me.

I reach her bedroom, walking over to her bed and placing her down on it.

"I love---"

I stop as I see her, eyes now closed, it's clear that she's asleep.

"I love you baby Behz" I whisper, smiling to myself and walking towards her door.

I stop at the door, startled, as I hear something.

"I love you too Minter" she says, softly, before she turns away from me, exhaling, telling me that what she just said wasn't meant to be answered and that she was now going to sleep.

A huge smile on my face, I left the room, bumping into someone as I carelessly walk down the corridor.

"What are you smiling about?" Tobi says, now smiling too.

"Oh, nothing" I laugh.

"Yeah right! Spill" he laughs.

I roll my eyes, deciding it was best to change the subject,

"Why are you up here anyway?"

"Toilet, stop changing the subject"

I sigh, not replying to his previous comment.

"Tell me Simon, you know I won't say anything to anyone"

"Is it a crime to smile for no reason?"

"No, but when you're smiling that much, there's clearly a reason."

I shake my head.

"It's Jade isn't it?"

I put my head down, attempting to hide the smile I now have on my face at the mention of her name.

"Awhhhh, Simon has a crush" he says, patronisingly grabbing my cheek with one of his hands.

I laugh, covering my face.

"Don't worry mr minter, your secrets safe with me"
