24-"shut up Harry"

We're all sat round the table deliberating what to have for breakfast.

Well, all but one of us.

It is quite clear to us all who is absent, and the thought is strong across the room that it is unpredictable of what will happen when he does arrive.

JJ of course.

"I'm having cereal" Vik says.

"No change there" Josh says, causing us all to laugh.

I hear a iPhone notification sound, causing everyone to check there phones, all of us except one no doubt being disappointed.

Cal begins speaking: "Sarah wants to have breakfast with me, I'll see you later guys" he gets up and walks out of the room,

All of us sit there and listen to his movements, attempting to predict what he is doing.

It's quite obvious that he must be getting his bags, but we're still inquisitive.

He runs upstairs, walks around for about 30 seconds and then comes back downstairs.

"Bye guys, thanks for having me stay over Ethan" he says, slipping his shoes on.

"It's okay man, bye" Ethan says,

The rest of us say goodbye too, as he leaves.

We talk for a while longer, when a phone begins to ring.

Josh picks his up,

"Hello"

"Yeah I'll be there in a minute,"
--
"I love you, bye"
---

His phone conversation ends and he stands up,

"Completely forgot I told Freya we were going out today, see you later guys" he quickly walks out of the room, proceeding to go upstairs and then collect his stuff.

"See you later, thanks for having me Ethan" he says,

"No problem"

"Booty calls, I swear to god" Freezy says, causing us to laugh.

"The girls have definitely got them both on strings" I laugh.

"At least they have a girlfriend" Harry says, directing his comment at Freezy.

"Shut up Harry" he replies,

"Well it's just you and JJ who don't have a girl now and it's not like that's JJ's thing, so don't take it as a conciliation prize" Ethan says,

Simon looks towards me and winks, resting his hand on my thigh for a second, before moving it to around my shoulders, as a more public display.

"What about Tobi? And don't try me with long words Ethan we all know you don't even have an English GCSE" Freezy laughs,

"Dude don't bring me into this, I've got myself a girl anyway don't worry" he flicks his head back and raises his eyebrows, and that along with his reply made us all laugh.

The rest of the guys are laughing and talking loudly, or amongst themselves, except Simon, who leans forward towards me, his arm still around my shoulders.

"I love you" he whispers, right in my ear so that no body else will hear him. Not that we mind them knowing, but for right now, they all think this could just be a stupid little crush, but it's so much more than that.

If we did tell them though, they'd probably think we rushed into it.

People don't usually say it that quickly in a relationship, we're not even in a proper relationship yet.

With his arm still remaining around me, I rest my head on his shoulder.

I'm looking towards the others, who aren't really paying attention to Simon and I.

"I love you too" I say, smiling.

Tobi's head shoots towards us and his eyes widen,

"No way" he mouths, no sound coming out as to not alarm anyone else.

I cover my mouth and Simon laughs.

Oops.

"I didn't realise you guys were that far on" he says, quietly again.

Simon and I both shrug, smiling.

Are we that far?

I mean, he hasn't even asked me to be his girlfriend yet and we've already said that we love each other, this is not how it usually works.

I guess Simon and I are...

Different.

In a good way different.

I like our kind of different.

Maybe he'll ask me soon, or I could ask him.

Whatever.
