"Hey dad, hey Adele" I smile, as they return.
All of the boys left an hour ago, so Ethan and I spent the time between then and now tidying the whole house.
Both of them have massive smiles on their faces, I'm glad to see my father truly happy, and Adele too.
They're happy together, I like that.
Ethan walks down the stairs and greats them just as I did.
I notice that their happiness puts a big smile on his face too, I guess he feels the same as I do.
I'm starting to get used to my life here, my new family, my new friends, Simon.
I love my new life.
"So what have you been up to while we were away, when did your friends leave?" Adele asks, in a seemingly excited way.
Ethan and I look towards each other, giggling as we do.
Our parents look rather confused, which is to be expected.
"We just hung out, played FIFA, the normal stuff" Ethan answers quickly,
"By we, you mean...?" Adele questions, clearly wanting to know if Ethan included me or not.
She's good with things like this, she has made sure Ethan and I got on well from the start, making sure I was involved when I wanted to be.
"I had an incredible time" I smile, "I really like Ethan's friends,"
She smiles, content that she had done a good job at making sure I was happy around her son.
"Some more than others" Ethan mutters, giggling.
I discreetly elbow him in the side, urging him to be quiet.
Adele doesn't notice this, but my father does, furrowing his eyebrows and shaking his head, laughing silently.
I smile back to him and brush it off, no doubt he'll ask me about it later, but I'll have thought of an excuse by then.
"Anyway, how was your trip?" I ask, picking one of Adele's bags up and taking it upstairs for her, she follows me and leaves Ethan and my dad stood in the hall way.
"It was really good thank you" she smiles,
She has a devious look on her face as if she was about to say something that would make me laugh until I cried or something, which worried me.
Adele isn't the type just to come out with something funny, she always has a meaning behind what she is saying.
Therefore she is most likely going to say something about the boys, which she did not want to say and embarrass me in front of my father, which I am thankful for.
"So what was Ethan talking about?" She says, placing her bag down in her bedroom.
I'm slightly confused, but I get the feeling I know what she's talking about.
She notices this confusion, and explains further, "when he muttered something a minute ago"
Just as I thought, "ohh nothing, he's just joking"
She raises her thin eyebrows at me, meaning that she didn't believe a world I just said.
"Then why elbow him for it?"
Oh, she did see that. I wasn't expecting this question until I talked to my dad alone, so I haven't prepared an answer yet. Crap.
I clear my throat nervously, "ummm"
She laughs a little, "come on which one is it"
I bite the inside of my cheek and play with my hands,
I sigh, giving in to her questions, I know she'll keep it quiet, so I might as well tell her.
"Simon" I say, making direct eye contact with her.
She now has a wide smile on her face, which causes me to smile too,
I cover my face as I begin to turn slightly red, having previously mentioned his name.
She does a slight dance of excitement, before engulfing me in a warm hug.
I just giggle to myself,
"He's a gooden" she says,
I know.
