mark opened his eyes about an hour later, instantly noticing that he was wrapped in someone's embrace. he panicked, looking down at the arms around him.

when mark looked up, he saw donghyuck peacefully sleeping against the pillows. somehow, donghyuck has changed their positions as to where he was holding mark.

the older male didn't dare move, donghyuck looked so calm sleeping. it felt strange to mark to have someone hug him like this.

"markie, are you okay," donghyuck whispered, pulling mark closer to him. mark involuntarily stiffened, and it didn't go unnoticed by the younger.

"i'm sorry," donghyuck stated, moving away from mark. mark frowned mentally, moving closer to donghyuck although it made him a little uncomfortable.

"like i said, have to get used to it one way or another," mark chuckled, smiling shyly up at donghyuck.

donghyuck returned the smile, resting his head on top of mark's.

"i'm sorry for being an ass earlier," taeyong admitted, walking next to mark on their way to school.

"bro, it's cool, i'm not mad at you," mark assured him, placing a hand on his hyung's shoulder. taeyong nodded, pulling the younger one into a hug.

once they pulled away, taeyong began asking questions.

"so, does my lil mark like donghyuck?"

mark groaned, but smiled anyway. it made the pink haired boy feel good that his friends actually cared about him.

"he seems really caring and nice, i like him," mark spoke the truth, scratching the back of his neck.

taeyong poked at mark's bicep, mark sending a small punch to his hyung. taeyong laughed, opening the doors to the high school.

"well, i'm extremely happy you like him, you deserve it," was all taeyong said before he went off to look for his boyfriend.

mark smiled brightly, heading off to locker, just to see donghyuck standing there, watching people.

"mark, i was waiting for you," donghyuck shyly admitted, his cheeks becoming pink. mark awed mentally, then shook his head, focusing back onto donghyuck.

"hey, how are you," mark questioned, walking alongside donghyuck after he got all his books from his locker.

after their first cuddle session, the two boys learned a lot from each other. mark feels more comfortable around him, and donghyuck's the same.

"okay, i was wondering if you wanted to hang out at lunch or something," donghyuck asked, looking at mark hopefully.

mark nodded, smiling at the younger male. donghyuck smiled back, and continued to walk next to mark, both of them enjoying each other's company.

"well, i'll see you at lunch, markie," donghyuck smiled, nodding towards mark.

mark decided it was best to have a nickname for donghyuck, as donghyuck has one for him.

"yea, i'll see you then, donghyuckie," mark chuckled, smiling at the way donghyuck became all shy. they waved bye to each other, mark watching as donghyuck headed off to class.
----
mark waited at the entrance of the cafeteria, checking the time every so often.

he turned around for a couple seconds, then felt a pair of arms wrap around him from behind, and it panicked him.

he spun around, and he was met by donghyuck, who was smiling softly.

"just wanted to greet you in a completely different way," his voice came out shaky, as if thinking this was a bad thing.

"well, it was cute," mark mumbled, flicking donghyuck's forehead, causing the young male to drop his arms and place them over his face.

mark wasn't sure what was going on, but it strangely felt right. the cuddling, this back hug, donghyuck being flirty, he didn't know how to feel.

"let's go," mark said, grabbing hold of donghyuck's wrist, pulling him towards the entrance of the school, then letting donghyuck lead the way.

they walked for a little while, until donghyuck stopped in front of a little building, mark noticing the happiness growing on his face.

"follow me," donghyuck stated excitedly, grabbing hold of mark's hand and dragging him into the building.

when they walked in, mark was awe. there were two little chairs, a television, a coffee table, a sofa, and cute little photos and decorations everywhere. donghyuck sat down in one of the chairs, a smile on his face.

"my mother used to bring me here when i was in kindergarten and first grade. a little get away for both of us."

"when i was little, my father was extremely abusive towards both me and my mother. mostly beatings. whatever chance we got, we would come here. like our little house."

mark didn't realise he was crying, he was sensitive to this kind of stuff; it was embarrassing.

"my father left us, then three years after that, my mother died in a car crash with her friend. this is all i have left of her."

donghyuck's voice has cracked on the last sentence, and mark's heart shattered. he stood up, signaling for donghyuck to stand up as well.

right when the youngest stood up, mark wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close to his body, letting donghyuck cry into his shoulder.

mark also found himself crying as he leaned back and placed a very hesitant kiss to donghyuck's forehead.

mark couldn't believe he just did that, but he was happy when donghyuck relaxed. he led the young male over to the sofa and laid him down, taking off his hoodie and covering donghyuck in it.

"lay with me, maybe," donghyuck sounded so broken, and mark blamed himself. mark nodded an 'of course', and crawled next to donghyuck.

"thank you, mark," donghyuck whispered, resting his head on mark's chest. mark sighed slowly, wrapping his arm's around donghyuck.

"no problem," mark whispered back, pressing another kiss to the younger's head, not removing his lips.
