the weekend came much quicker than mark wanted. not the fact that he was going on a "date" with donghyuck, but the fact that he had to go with the guys.

donghyuck thought it would be a lot of fun, and that he wouldn't act like a boyfriend if that's what mark wanted.

mark decided he'll go along, but not do anything. maybe just sit there and eat pizza. hopefully ten or sicheng would sit with him.

"are you sure you're okay," donghyuck asked for the hundredth time that might. and mark's answer was the same.

"yes."

mark offered to drive donghyuck, although he wasn't keen to going. but, then again, if donghyuck was happy, then mark had to deal with it.

"c'mon, let's go," mark got up and grabbed the keys off the table, opening the door and following donghyuck out. he checked to make sure the door was locked, and headed over to his car.

he unlocked it, and opened the door for donghyuck, who sent him a soft smile. mark's heart melted, and he was actually looking forward to this.

once he made sure the younger was buckled in, he closed the door and went over to his side of the car, opening the door, closing it, and starting the car.

"want to play any music," mark asked, hand reaching for the radio. donghyuck nodded, allowing mark to turn it on. the moment it turned on, 21 century girl by bts started to play.

"oh, i love bangtan," donghyuck stated happily, nodding his head along to the beat. mark smiled, put the car in gear, and drove off in the direction of the arcade.

once they showed up about fifteen minutes later, mark and donghyuck got out, already noticing that everyone else was already here.

donghyuck led mark into the arcade, mark paying for both of them, although mark had no plans on playing any of the games.

"mark, donghyuck, there you are," jaehyun's voice rang out, donghyuck running over to them. mark smiled softly at how happy donghyuck seemed.

"well, let's go, we got all night," kun exclaimed, standing up and running over to the games. mark sat down at the booth, resting his head on his hands.

"are you going to play, markie," donghyuck asked, turning around to look at him. mark shook his head, and motioned for donghyuck to have fun.

donghyuck looked at mark for a little bit, then ran up to him, gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, then walked off again.

mark blushed heavily, watching as donghyuck joined the other guys. mark enjoyed this time alone, although there isn't really anything to think over.

someone sat next to him, and mark instantly knew it was sicheng.

"sicheng, hi," mark faced the male, sending a warm smile. sicheng has been kun's boyfriend since the beginning of their freshman year. they are seniors now.

"what's up with you and donghyuck," sicheng asked, taking a sip of his soda. mark knew this was going to be brought up.

"he's my cuddle buddy and friend, that's all," mark blankly said. he hated the way he said it, and he looked in the direction of where the male was.

taeyong had his arm around donghyuck, who was smiling brightly. mark subconsciously smiled, which in reward he got punched lightly by sicheng.

"he means more to you than you know," sicheng said in a hushed voice. mark nearly hit him, but stopped to think about it.

maybe donghyuck did mean more to him than he knew. mark didn't have a clue as to how he would know if he even liked donghyuck. just, time'll tell.

eventually, the boys came back and they all started to eat, minus mark, who had been snacking this entire time. taeyong and jaehyun had their own table, and so did sicheng and kun.

ten and johnny were chatting up a storm, ten bragging about how many tickets he won compared to the others.

mark and donghyuck, on the other hand, just sat in silence, and mark could feel the others looking at him.

"donghyuck, i need to go outside," mark whispered, the worried look on the younger's face making mark want to die.

once he left the booth, he practically ran outside, finding his car, and leaning on it. he shouldn't have come along on this, donghyuck would've been just fine by himself.

and speaking of the devil, donghyuck was walking towards him, and it lowkey made mark stressed.

"mark, are-"

mark just brushed his question away, not looking up to even look at him. donghyuck was hurt, to say the least.

"just go back inside, go to enjoy your time," mark's voice quivered, he didn't want to do this to donghyuck, but he was stressed about everything at the moment.

"it would better if you were there with me," donghyuck rushed out, looking everywhere but at mark.

mark cursed himself, but he couldn't let donghyuck feel this way. he approached donghyuck, wrapping his arms around the younger's shoulders, pulling him close.

"i'm sorry, i just have a lot on my mind," mark whispered, petting donghyuck gently.

"it's okay, i'm here for you."
