mark sat across from donghyuck at the little restaurant he ended up taking them to. his heart was racing, and he's already had two refills of water and they haven't even gotten their food yet.

"mark hyungie, is everything okay," donghyuck asked, tearing his eyes off the television that was playing a basketball game.

"y-yeah. hey, look, yoongi hyung is playing today," mark pointed up, suddenly very interested in the basketball game. yoongi was playing, and that's when the conversation ended.

they ate in silence, both of them watching the game the entire time. yoongi's team won, mainly because yoongi is such a great player.

donghyuck wanted to get some ice cream and more soda, so they ate the desserts there and didn't leave for a while.

"do you want to know the reason why i took you here," mark asked, some of the first words they've exchanged in a while.

"please."

mark took a deep breath to regain himself, then let whatever he needed to say come out.

"i was just wondering if you would, uh, i don't know, maybe wanted to be my boyfriend," mark got out, blushing brightly.

"it took you long enough," donghyuck said in a happy tone, grabbing hold of mark's hand, smiling.

"is that a yes," mark asked hopefully, a smile on his face as well.

"duh."

to say mark was the happiest boy alive was an understatement. he feels like he can take on the world now. he finally has donghyuck, and donghyuck finally has him.

they decided to go to a park and walk around, mainly because donghyuck wanted to hold mark's hand and show him off. but he didn't let mark know that of course.

"i'm happy you asked, actually. i've been waiting," donghyuck said, smiling down at their hands. mark tightened his grip on donghyuck, afraid of losing him already.

"i would've asked sooner, but i was nervous," mark admitted, this time it was donghyuck tightening his grip.

they didn't talk after that, both of them just enjoying each other's company, enjoying nature, enjoying life. donghyuck didn't want to let go of mark's hand, no matter what.

mark also wanted to kiss donghyuck as well, but he knew donghyuck didn't like kissing on the first date, so he put donghyuck first.

one day, he'll be able to do that everyday. he'll be able to wake up next to donghyuck. he'll be able to spend everyday with him.

mark was so deeply in love, there was legit no way out for him.

"markie, thank you so much for everything today," donghyuck said tiredly as he laid on mark's chest, mark running his fingers through the younger's soft hair.

"anything for you," mark mumbled, sighing in relief on how this day went. went just as mark had wanted.

"can i tell you something," donghyuck asked, looking up at mark.

"yea."
