cuddle buddy [markhyuck]

the atmosphere at the double date was so peaceful, and all four of them loved it. sicheng and kun ordered the same flavour of ice cream, while donghyuck got cookies and cream and mark got mint.

"we're so happy you guys tagged along," kun said happily, resting his head on sicheng's shoulder.

"we're happy we're here," donghyuck chirped. mark stole a glance at the younger male. donghyuck looked so happy, when he smiled, wrinkles formed around his eyes.

mark is so head over heels for this boy, and he's not even ashamed. he was happy he trusted himself, actually. that was the reason why him and donghyuck are so close.

"so, about you two," kun started, but sicheng stopped him, as if telling him it wasn't polite to ask that.

"sicheng, it's totally okay," donghyuck said, smiling. mark awed at how sweet and open donghyuck was now, like he needed mark to confess to be more comfortable around others now.

"well, mark confessed yesterday. i wasn't expecting it. i was picking out some of his clothes to wear to this date, actually. we agreed not to be a thing until we are friends for a little bit longer," donghyuck said, smiling at the two boys in front of him.

"that's so good, we're so proud of you two, you both deserve the best," sicheng said, sending a heart warming smile to both of them.

"you're not mad that i said you confessed," donghyuck asked in amazement, walking along side mark.

"of course not, why would i," mark answered, looking at the younger male with a sincere shocked expression.

"it's personal," donghyuck mumbled, head dropping. mark sighed, knowing this was going to be brought up.

"people are going to know about us one day, so it was best you told them now," was all mark said before he grabbed donghyuck's hand and they walked in a silence.

donghyuck couldn't register what was going on, but he liked it. they weren't dating, but mark sure acted like they are.

but amazingly, donghyuck didn't mind it. he enjoyed having a friend that he can cuddle with and hold hands with. it was crazy how donghyuck and mark started out as cuddle buddies and now they are nearly dating.

donghyuck loves it so much. it keeps him happy, mark keeps his self esteem up and his confidence glowing. donghyuck in general felt so good about himself because of mark.

and mark isn't going to admit it, but he feels the same way. donghyuck has changed him in such a great way, and mark has never been more proud of himself.

and he's so proud of donghyuck as well.

it might be crazy if outsiders were to know about their story, but it's one of the best stories, to be honest.

the two boys wouldn't have it any other way.
