"do you want to order pizza," donghyuck yelled from downstairs, causing mark to jump away from closest.

"uh, sure," mark yelled back, going back to what he was doing before he was interrupted. he was looking something at least decent for their little "date" tomorrow. he didn't want to look like trash.

donghyuck ordered the pizza, slapping five dollars on the table for the tip. he then proceeded to go upstairs, wondering what mark was up to.

"mark hyung," donghyuck called out as he rounded the corner and saw mark standing there in front of the closest.

"what are you up to," donghyuck asked, leaning his body against the door frame, watching mark adoringly.

"i'm trying to find something to wear," he responded, not even turning around to look at the younger male.

"we aren't going anywhere," donghyuck said in a questioning tone, curious now.

"i planned a date for us," mark said in a shy voice, still not turning around to face the male. he heard donghyuck chuckle, then felt arms go around his waist and a chin resting on his shoulder.

"you did. and we aren't even official yet," donghyuck mumbled, then sighed afterward, sending shivers down the elder's spine.

"i'm sorry, i just wanted to surprise you," mark whispered, feeling donghyuck's grip get a little tighter.

"don't be sorry, i'll love it," donghyuck said, smiling. mark relaxed his tensed muscles; those were the words he needed to hear.

a knock was heard downstairs and donghyuck dropped his arms, but gave mark a kiss to the forehead before he walked downstairs to get the pizza.

mark blushed as he thought about what donghyuck did, and he wasn't even ashamed. he loved donghyuck, a lot, and wasn't going to let himself live that down.

both boys were eating the pizza, apparently donghyuck bought three while mark thought he just bought one, while watching movies in the living room.

mark found himself staring at donghyuck for a good amount of the time. there was once when donghyuck caught him and they stared at each other until mark had to look away.

he would turn into a blushing mess if him and donghyuck created eye contact for too long. that's how much mark adored him.

he knew he had to make a move before donghyuck did, but he just didn't know how. maybe just blurting it out would help, but he wants to show donghyuck how much he cares.

maybe at their little date tomorrow is when he'll ask? it sounds like a great time, but he's just afraid donghyuck would say no.

mark worries too much, sicheng always says. it's true, mark does worry too much. he's mainly just afraid losing the people he loves.

donghyuck smiled as the movie ended, and saw that mark has fallen asleep. donghyuck debated whether or not he should wake up the elder.

he decided not to, only because he looked too comfortable to be woken up.

he went upstairs to grab a blanket, and made sure all the lights were off, then went back down to cover mark up.

donghyuck sat down on the floor to watch over mark, as silly as it sounds.

donghyuck just likes it when mark is like this. vulnerable and innocent. donghyuck feels the need to protect mark while he sleeps.

the older male tends to get nightmares. and donghyuck is always there when mark needs to calm down, no matter what time it is. and he's going to be there for him tonight as well.

donghyuck watched as his hyung slept, hoping he was having a good dream and no nightmares. donghyuck was nervous to take his eyes off the male, afraid that he'll look away and miss something.

but all through that night, mark didn't have a bad dream. not one. he slept peacefully for once, and donghyuck was so happy. he was happy to know his hyung slept calmly.

that was enough to make him happy.
