cuddle buddy [markhyuck]

the door to yuta's house was open, leading to the small pool party. donghyuck was splashing around the pool while mark sat along the edge. taeyong and jaehyun were swimming, along with hansol and doyoung.

mark rarely took his eyes off donghyuck. he wanted to make sure the younger male was safe. he knew donghyuck could fend for himself, but it was his duty to protect his boyfriend. after a while, jaehyun walked up to mark and told him that donghyuck would be okay.

yuta was happy with the way his party was going; he just wanted to bring everyone together. it almost felt that yuta was the "mother" of all his friends. he doesn't mind, though.

"yo, mark lee," johnny yelled out, throwing a water ballon at him. mark laughed and flung himself at the taller male. johnny picked him up effortlessly, and carried him to the pool.

"be careful when you throw him, johnny," donghyuck yelled right before johnny threw mark into the pool. everyone cheered, but donghyuck quickly made his way to where mark hit the water. when mark surfaced, he had a smile on his face.

"are you okay, babe," donghyuck asked, hands cupping mark's face. mark nodded, leaning forward to kiss donghyuck quickly. donghyuck had the brightest blush on his face when mark pulled away, and mark's heart melted.

"i'm more than okay," mark smiled, diving under the water, taking donghyuck with him. once they were completely under, mark kissed donghyuck as gently as he could, not wanting donghyuck to take in too much water.

it only lasted a few seconds before they both had to go up for air. everyone there acted like they didn't see anything just to give the two lovebirds privacy.

"well, that was interesting," donghyuck chuckled once he regained his breath. he still had his hand resting on mark's waist. mark's clothing was stuck to him, and donghyuck was hoping he would take his shirt off. it's not safe to swim with a shirt on.

"mark, if you continue to swim, you should remove your shirt. it could weigh you down," donghyuck insisted, being serious. mark nodded, and uncomfortably he removed the shirt that was sticking to his body.

"now you are a little safer," donghyuck mumbled, leaning forward to kiss mark on the forehead. mark chuckled, pulling the younger into a tight hug. after a while, donghyuck didn't care if his friends were watching them. he was with mark and that was really all that mattered.

"love you," mark whispered, kissing donghyuck's cheek after saying it. donghyuck hide his face in mark's neck, embarrassed.

"love you, too," donghyuck responded, the biggest smile apparent on his face.
