My eye lids fluttered for a moment as I awoke from a dreamless sleep.
I could tell it was still night, and I must have been asleep for a while because my body was stif and aching.
I didn't want to open my eyes, I could still feel sleep in them and I wanted to lay there.. just lay there and not think about anything.
Drift back off into a dreamless sleep..
But I suddenly noticed why I felt like this, and it startled me enough out of my drowsiness.
A voice was telling me something, and I listened hard in my mind to hear it.
Sleep.. the voice persuaded.
'No...' I thought back to it.
'Why should I..'
But the sleepiness was returning, and I involuntarily lied back onto the sheet on the floor.
Sleep,
it coaxed, penetrating my mind, convincing me it was a good idea.
But I was determined, why should I listen to a voice? Even if it was so relaxing...
'No...' I told it a little more forcefully this time.
'No..!'
The voice was quiet, and I opened my eyes once more.
My drowsiness was gone, but I rubbed my sore eyes as I sat up from the thin bed I was lying on.
I tried to recount the actions of the previous day, but my mind felt blurry and fogged up.
I felt as though I was forgetting something quite important, but I couldn't remember what..
It finally came to me. Aladdin! Why.. how could he...?
I asked myself as I wobbly stood up, almost falling over.
Though the room was dark, I could make out the features.
The room was small with two circular windows higher towards the ceiling, and the only furniture in the small circular room was the little thin bed and one white sheet I was lying on and a chair in the middle of the room.
I grabbed the wall for support and guided myself alongside until I felt a door.
I blindly found the doorknob and turned it hard either way, with no luck.
I paced the room quickly and thought of what I should do.
I couldn't even see, and I didn't know where I was.
A thought suddenly struck me, and I dropped down to the floor.
My hands slipped over each other, checking the others wrist.
A sigh of relief, than anger hit me like a wave as I realized Aladdin must be here.
"Aladdin!" I tried to yell, but found my voice horse, and rubbed my throat in pain.
The shackles held no sign of response, so I stood back up, thinking to myself.
Fine! If he wanted to ignore me, let him!
But my eyes suddenly widened with panic again.
What was I going to do...? I had not the slightest idea where I was, who had locked me in this room, and why, although I had a feeling Aladdin had a lot to do with it.
I got back up and made my way to the door, through blind walking and feeling.
I pressed my ear against the wooden feeling door, hoping to hear something.
I almost gave up, when I heard a voice.
"-but.... Alsmear, sir?" A older sounding man with a rough, rugged voice almost whispered.
"Yes. I still want those tickets, and make sure to see too it that they are good-"
This voice was unmistakably Aladdin's.
My hands clenched in anger.
When I got my hands on that kid, I was gonna-
I was cut off by the silence that was outside.
I quietly backed up and kneeled onto the bed, ready to act asleep at a moments notice if I needed too.
"-what is it?" The mans voice was loud now.
Aladdin must have given him a sharp look, because the man squealed in surprise and apologized.
Aladdin chuckled.
"Nothing," I heard him say. "Just need to take care of something. Go and do what I've told you," He commanded in a coldish voice.
I was too caught up in straining to listen to the conversation, I forgot to act asleep, and I was leaning towards the door with one side of my head tilted, when the wooden door creaked open.
Standing in the doorway was Aladdin, still as little as ever looking like a 9-10 year old, but wore a sly expression that gave away his hundreds of years old reality.
"Mor! I see your awake!~" He sprang from the doorway to met me.
"Al-" I tried but my voice was still horse, and what came out instead was a croaking sound.
Aladdin's expression changed to concern and he knelt down next to me, causing me to fall backwards.
"Hmm.." He examined me for a moment.
"Seems that's the side affect on humans.. I'm sorry." He finished looking up at me in innocence.
I wanted to shout, "Side effect?!? From what..?!"
But my voice wouldn't come out and I already had a idea. It must have been the sleep spell or whatever he put on me.
I crept back a bit, so mad that he had forcefully taken me from that kingdom. I had no idea where I even was.
As if to answer my thoughts, Aladdin peered up at me.
"Don't worry Morgiana, I'll take care of everything. You don't need to worry about where we are,"
I wanted to yell, "But I want too!" Instead I grabbed the collar of his vest and pulled it towards me in a angry flash.
He didn't seem surprised, and just patted me on the head.
"Mor, don't be mad at me! Im just helping you! I-"
The door creaked open again and a man with a scholar outfit and large glasses peered through into the dark room.
"Um.. sir," He gestured towards Aladdin in a nervous way.
I saw Aladdin look at him in annoyance and I let go of his shirt, afraid of the chills he was now emitting.
He got up in a rush and pushed me onto the thin mattress.
In what seemed like one swift movement he made it to the door and shut it behind him, giving me a assuring smile as he left.
It did not reassure me at all, I thought to myself.
If anything, that made my suspicions grow.
