"Slave?!" Judal repeated, baffled at Leila's one statement.
"Stop, stop that slave!" She finally reached us, but Neither Judal or I moved.
"Um, I-" I started.
"This is no slave," Judal finished for me.
"What? Yes, she is, now come-"
Aladdin pulled on my hand and I remembered running.
I flew past Judal, who still stood there looking half confused, half offended.
"Mor, wait!" Judal called, running after me.
Aladdin dragged me into door after door, Judal trailing along.
"Mor, explain what's going-"
He stopped when we entered a room with a very serious atmosphere.
In the middle of the large room, there was a long wooden oak table, and at each end, was a royal.
On the left side, was my friend, Prince Natusme.
Right, was the short king of Baqur, Sif.
"Still, I-"
Both Sif and Natsume turned to stare at the door which had been slammed open.
I stood there frozen, whereas Judal pranced in, and Aladdin took my arm again, protectively.
Sif looked at Judal in distaste, then turned to me.
"Morgian-"
"Morgiana!" Natsume stood up quickly, almost knocking the large chair over.
I raised my hand in a small wave, unable to find my voice.
What was I doing?! This was the royal conference room!
I'd had enough of royals and big kingdoms.
Natsume rushed over and hugged me, ignoring Aladdin's dangerous glare.
"It's good to see you too," I moaned into his chest, afraid pushing him away would be an insult.
When he finally let go, Aladdin gave a whimper of anger and tried to attack him.
"Aladdin! Calm down, geez!"
We all reluctantly ignored the growing colder by the minute room, as Aladdin was now mad at almost everyone in the room.
"What going on, who is that blue boy?!" Sif's voice grew dangerously loud, so our little reunion was broken up.
"This is Aladdin, he's my friend," I tried to explain.
"I didn't ask you, slave,"
That was Sif's mistake.
The entire room grew degrees colder in a split second, and I don't think it was just Aladdin this time.
"..What, did you just call her?" Natusme whispered in a pre-raged voice.
Sif looked at him confused and repeated it.
The guards tensed as Natsume's eyes narrowed.
"Oh, well it's all just a big misunderstanding. You see, I was at a pub, and Aladdin here-"
I stopped myself awkwardly, because no one seemed to be listening.
"Why is that wrong?" Sif coaxed. "I called her what she is."
I could see Natsumes face get redder and redder with anger by the minute, so I took charge, which I wasn't sure was a good idea.
I leapt in between the two stubborn royals, and gave Sif a stern look.
"Your highness, I am not a slave. I am a slum dweller, as you know, and I am looking for my brother. I do not have time to become your slave,"
He have a short chuckle, then turned back to me.
"You don't have a choice, and- wait, I thought you had no family," His face grew a once again lonely expression.
"I dont, as far as I know. But this genie," I gestured to Aladdin, who gladly claimed my hand.
"Told me he may be alive somewhere!"
I couldn't tell if his expression was happy, or surprised, because Natsume interrupted before anything else.
"That beside, Mor, you are no slave! And you are obviously going to find no lead to your brother here, let's talk about this!"
Sif agreed hesitantly, to allow a day of negotiations, so we could get everything straightened out.
"Thank you," I told Natsume and Judal as we left the room.
"If you didn't show up today, I would have been in serious punishment."
Aladdin snorted, and mumbled something that sounded like, "You still wouldn't have with me around," but I ignored him.
They both exchanged empty looks, as I asked curiously how they knew I was here.
"I received notice that your ship from my kingdom to Baqur was ravaged by pirates, and became worried. Me and Judal decided to come to Baqur to see if you made it alright, but It seems you didnt."
I looked at the ground for consolation in my embarassment.
"Tell me everything," The prince said as Aladdin wearily pulled me away from the two.
