Ebony and I walked out the apartment, ,we started walking down the stairs. "So..How was your day Keith" She asked, walking beside me. "It was good, went to class today and chilled. You?" I answered

"Mine, was okay I didn't have class today" She said. We got to the front, I opened the car door for her. "Thank you" She said while getting in. I got on the car. We both put on our seatbelts, I started the car and start driving to the restaurant. "You want to listen to music or you good?" I asked

"Um-s-sure" She said nervously, I started to laugh a little bit. It was cute to see her nervous. I turned on the radio, "Swimming Pools" by Kendrick Lamar came on the Cali native. I was rapping along to the song, I felt her eyes on me. I heard her giggle, "What's funny?" I asked I look at her. "Nothing" She shook her head.

"Where are we going?" She asked, "Somewhere" I answered. I could feel the anticipation and slight angry in the car. "Its going to be fun, don't worry. Sit back and relax" I said while driving.

"I'm taking your word, Keith" She said, actually I was taking her to a restaurant but that was super cliché for a first date. I wanna take her somewhere which is fun and also we can get to know each other. That is D&B, its college night, I know it would be fun.
We arrived there, and it was packed to the fullest.

"Oh, D&B..Never had a guy take me here for a date" she said

"Well, I'm different.." I said, she smiled

I opened the door for her again, and we walked to get our card. Ebony pulled her wallet out "Put it back" I said, "No, Keith you don't have to pay. I'm serious" she looked at me, "Ebony, its right for me to do it. I'm a gentleman, I'm not going to just let you pay, I wanted to take you out" I explained

"Fine.." She groan, putting her wallet in her pack pocket, "But, Thank you Keith" She said. I paid for the card, and we started looking for some games. "What about this?" She pointed at the shooting game. "Really?" I asked, "I mean, we both can play it" She answered.

I put the card in twice for both of us, to play. We started playing, Ebony ended up dying within 3 minutes in the game. "Wowwww" She groan, I started laughing. "You got lucky. I think there was something wrong with mine. " She said, we started walking around

"I mean you suggested it." I said mockingly, she rolled her eyes. "Very funny, but you can't beat me in basketball" She said, I sucked my teeth

"You. Beat me? At basketball. In your dreams shawty" I laughed.

"Bet, Keith if I beat you in basketball you have to take me to DQ tonight" She said, "Alright, if I beat you..hmm what do you have to do.." I started to rub my chin. "Got it, you owe me another date at my place" I suggested

She nodded, "That's a bet" We shook hands, We continued to play different games, competitively. We played 3 rounds of air hockey, connect 4, fruit ninja, Mario kart, super trivia, skee ball, and just random games.

"Moment of truth..." Ebony said, "The moment that ebony will be with me Friday" I finished her sentence. "Whatever" She ran to the basketball game. I followed her, she already had her hand out so she could go ahead and play. I went ahead and put the card in both of our slots

Ready 1, 2, 3. We started shooting along with 2 other people, we both were going head to head. We had 5 seconds left, I tried to look at her score. She shot, and missed. I won by 2 points, "Good game?" I had my hand out, she shook it. "Good game." She smirked.

"I'm hungry after all that winning" I said rubbing my stomach, "Ha" she said. "Do you wanna eat here?" I asked curiously,
"Nah, I kind of wanna go somewhere different" she answered, "Oh okay, where do you wanna go?" I asked

"Rosa Mexicano, if they have one?" She asked, "uh yeah, they do. We can go"

We arrived at Rosa Mexicano, we got a table. Keith pulled a seat out for Ebony. "Thank you" She said, pushing up her chair. "I haven't been here in ages" she said, while looking around

"Really?" I asked, she nodded. "Yeah, this use to be my dad's favorite restaurant's" She stated. "It does have the best Mexican food"

"Yeah.." Ebony mumbled

Keith knew where the conversation was about to head. Thank god, the waitress came up to the table. "Welcome to Rosa Mexicano, I will be your server Ashley. What would you guys have for your drinks?"

"Water" They both said at the same time, "Okay water. Gotcha" The server laughed. She walked away, we both started to laugh. "Look like we both wanted something simple" Ebony said. "Yeah" Keith laughed.

Music began to play, and Keith got up from his seat. And started dancing, "This is my song" He said, Ebony stated giggling "C'mon, Ebony don't leave me hanging"

Ebony got up and started to dance along with Keith. People in the restaurant, started to stare at them. The song ended they sat back in their seats.

"Was that really your song?" Ebony asked, "Yeah, my neighbors back in sac were Mexican" Keith answered. Ebony started laughing "You are something else.." She shook her head. "I'm serious" Keith said.

The server, gave them they're water and chips and salsa. They order their food, "Keith random question"

"What's hanning?" She rolled her eyes at his slang. "When your birthday?" She asked

"August 22nd, yours" He answered. "You're a Leo, and July 15th" she looked at him

"Best sign ever" Keith said, "Whatever" The server gave them they're food. Keith was asked for the bill and Ebony wanted to split it. "Why you always trying to pay?" Keith asked. "Because, I was taught like that to not depend on people" Ebony explained

"Ebony, I already explained this to you. Whenever we hang out or dates. I'm always paying no ands, or buts" Keith paid for the food. They left the restaurant, and pulled up to Ebony's apartment. They both got out, "Thank you for tonight Keith, I really appreciated it" Ebony said, "Your welcome"Keith smiled

Ebony gave Keith a kiss on the cheek, "Night, winner" She walked into her apartment building.
