A text from James greeted me as soon as I opened my eyes. We'd chatted a lot over the last two days, and it had gotten to the point where I would stay up late just to finish the conversation. He was the most interesting thing happening in my life so far, and since I figured it wouldn't last long, I might as well enjoy it.

I was so relieved and happy that I had a new friend. It had been so long since I'd had this kind of fun with someone. It made me forget how lost I usually am, and the feelings that threaten to overwhelm me sometimes.
So what are you doing this weekend?
I think I'll take a walk by the coast.

I smiled as I walked home with a bounce in my step. We'd been talking all day with no signs of stopping which was such a rarity for me. I couldn't help but wonder how far this would go.
To be honest, I was excited for what was in store.
