3 years.... have passed....
Yeah, 3 years of peaceful, 3 years of quiet, 3 years without suffering, 3 years without fear
Our crew hasn't changed at all
Alain and May are officially dating (but somehow until now they haven't kissed yet)
Gary is, well, still the same. He's struggling in finding love
But I guess you're here for Ash and Serena, right?
Well, they are still okay, still a happy couple. But, there is something new
I guess I have to tell you what happened
*2 years later* (from Xander Clan incident)
Ash and his crew were having a vacation in Alola region. They thought they deserved it for graduating from Vanivile High. They were unemployed, but they would find a job soon.
However, this vacation was special for Ash. He told his best bud, Gary and the new happy couple, Alain and May - his younger sister to give him and Serena some privacy
"Guys, I'm gonna do something today for Serena. Can you stay out?" Ash asked
"Sure, everything for my big bro" May said
"If you dare make my lil' sister cry, I'll kill you" Alain said
"And if you two want to do "it", just get a room" Gary smirked
"GARY!" Ash shouted in embarrassment. Then he saw Serena was walking to the door
"Okay, just like the deal" - Ash reminded all of them, then turned to Serena - "Hey Sere, any plan today?"
"No, so what you're up to?" Serena asked
"Can you go to the beach with me? Just for a while" Ash asked
"Sure, wynaut?" - Then she turned to the crew - "Coming too, you guys?"
"You and Ash just go ahead, I'm just... finding some girls to be my girlfriend" Gary lied
"Oh look, May is sleeping. I need to get her to bed. Sorry Serena" Alain turned to May, who was pretending to be asleep
"Okay, let's go, Ash" Serena held Ash's hand and dragged him to the beach
Ash and Serena walked along the beachside, hearing the sound of waves
"It's beautiful, isn't it, Ash?" Serena asked
"Yeah, the starry night sky, combine with the beautiful sea water. This is living" Ash laid on the sand
"Since when you become a poet?" Serena giggled
"I have no idea"
"Now that's my typical Ash"
Ash smiled a bit. Then his face turned into a bit serious
"Ash, what's wrong? Did I say something offended?" Serena asked
"Serena, I think it's time for me to ask you this" - Ash then knelt down and took a deep breath - "Serena, you've been my most important person in my life. You're always there when I need help, well, apart from my final battle with Calem. But you're my supporter, my great cheerleader, my girlfriend. And now, I think it's finally time." Ash then took out a red box, containing a ring inside "Serena, will you-" Ash got cut off when Serena sobbed and hugged him tightly
"Of course, Ash, of course I'll marry you" Serena sobbed in happiness
"I haven't done yet. Will you accept my engagement ring?" Ash chuckled when Serena pulled out from the hug
"Oh, I'm so stupid" Serena bowed her head
"No, you're just being too fast" Ash chuckled
"So that's mean you're not going to marry me?" Serena asked with watery eyes
"Of course not" - Ash bopped her nose - "yet. I just want to tighten our bond, our relationship"
"Oh, then I will, Ash" Serena answered. Them Ash wiped her tears and put the ring on her finger
"Ok Ashy. You may now kiss the bride" Serena leaned in
"This is not a marriage, but, oh well" Ash leaned in and kissed Serena passionately. They kissed for their engagement
"Let's get back, before-" Ash stopped when he saw someone. He hid himself in a bush. It was just a lifeguard. Serena greeted him and walked to Ash
"Ash, this isn't right" Serena said worriedly
"What do you mean? I'm getting used to it" Ash tried to let out a smile
"Look, Ash. I know everyone still believe you're dead from Xander Clan incident. But you know, someday you have to speak it out. I'm sure everyone will accpet it"
"But what if they don't? What will they think I am? A zombie, a mutant, a ghost? No, it's easier to say than do." - Ash saw Serena was frowning - "Serena, I know this is a hard time, but I hope the whole think will fade away in one or two years. Soon we will be able to go out in public. You have to trust me, please" Ash held her hands, but she slapped it away
"You need to have courage, Ash. Just tell them, maybe they can accept you as their hero. My hero" Serena said
"Okay, I will. Someday" Ash sighed
"Good boy. I love you, Ashy" Serena smiled
"I love you, too, Serena" Ash then stroked her short honey blond hair, then he kissed her one more time.
"We should get back" Ash smiled
"Definitely. Let's go my future husband" Serena held Ash's hand and ran to the hotel room. They both hoped their future will be peaceful and fine
