After The Storm (Chapter 1)

Chapter 1

Anna's POV

Finally, everything seems like it is put into place, just like a puzzle piece.

As I wake up, from my bed, I walk over and I look outside my window.

Why are there so many people outside? Then I remembered the day, the day everything was right.

•Flashback•

"Anna come over here!" Elsa yelled to me as I ran over to her slipping on the ice.

She magically put ice skates on my feet and helped me balance.

"We are never closing the gates again" Elsa said with a light smile.

I smiled back at her as I began to slip on the ice.

Elsa grabbed on to me to make sure I wouldn't fall, "don't slip!" She laughed as she glided me across the ice as if the ice were butter.

And by then, I knew that this was the best day ever, and nothing was going to ruin it.

•Flashback over•

As I open my eyes, I smile at the thought of that day.

"Anna? Are you awake?" The maid called knocking on my door.

" Yes I am!" I responded.

" Someone is here to see you!" She said.

" Ok! I will be out in a minute!" I yelled as I hurry to get changed into my light green dress. This was my favorite dress, the top part had flowers printed in the fabric and the skirt was stripped with different shades of green.

As I walked out of my room, I rush down the hallway, and to the stairs. I slide down the railing of the stairs, like I always did as a kid, and make my way to the foyer.

As I walk through the hallways, I see a picture that is covered with a black curtain. I lift up the soft fabric and look at the picture. It was my father and mother. I looked at it for a while, taking in all of the memories I have left of them.

My eyes started to water, as a single tear slides down my face.

I suddenly let the fabric fall down and wipe my eyes. It's ok Anna, the past is in the past.

Once I'm done thinking about my parents, I remember that I have a guest here to see me.

I skip through the room and peek through the door to the foyer.

I can see the maid cleaning the bookshelves, while someone is sitting down in a chair next to a very long table. That must be "my" guest.

When I walk into the room my eyes are focused on who is seated in the chair.

When I get close enough, I finally realize who it is.
