After The Storm (chapter 48)

Chapter 48

Anna's POV

As we ride through the snowy mountains, we eventually get familiar with where we are.

Kristoff jumps off of Sven, with me still cuddled up in his arms. He puts me down gently, and we look around at our surroundings.

"Does this seem familiar to you?" Kristoff grins, and points to the north mountain up ahead.

I couldn't help but smile, remembering all the great memories I had the first time I was here, but then the thoughts flood away from my head, and the chest pains come back. I fall forward, catching myself with my right hand, and wrap my left arm around my chest in pain.

I manage to stand back up, but I trip and grab a hold of Kristoff's shoulder. Kristoff grabs my arm, and helps me balance.

I stand up straight, then look up at him. I can tell in his eyes that he is worried. I nod my head as if to say, "I'm ok". He nods back at me, but still has a worried look on his face.

We continue to walk towards the North Mountain, and I take a quick look at my hair.

Half of it is white.

This can't be good. I thought the trolls said I have 20 days! did they lie to me? or did they not know it was gonna come this fast?

I shake the thoughts from my head, and continue to walk. then suddenly, Kristoff speaks up.

"Do you remember which way Elsa's castle is?" He asks, looking up towards the mountain.

"I think I might have an idea of where it is, but I'm not positive." I say.

He nods, and we both continue to walk over the snowy ground.

"So which way do you think her castle is?" Kristoff asks.

"Maybe over there...?" I point to the left of me, unsure.

Kristoff just chuckles, and walks over to Sven.

"Hey buddy, do you know where Elsa's castle is?" he asks Sven, and I roll my eyes and laugh. It pretty funny to see a human talk to a reindeer.

Sven nods his head, which I think means he knows the way, but I don't know, I'm not a reindeer after all.

"Sven knows, he can take us there." Kristoff says, and I walk over to them.

Sven walks in front of us, and we start to follow him.

After a while of walking through forests and over hills, we finally reach Elsa's castle.

I walk up to the stairs, and touch the railing. It still looks as new as last year.

Sven suddenly runs and jumps up onto the stairs, and tries to climb up them. He ends up slipping, and unable to move.

"Sven, what did I say about these stairs!" Kristoff yells to Sven, walks over to him, picks him up, and takes him off of the stairs. I try not to laugh, but I can't help it. Kristoff looks over at me, and starts laughing too.

Once I stop laughing, I start to walk up the stairs, carefully so I don't slip. Kristoff follows behind me, and when we both get to the doors, I knock on them, and they open automatically.

I hesitate, then I walk in slowly. No one seems to be near the entrance, but I am tempted to look upstairs....
